He was a grown man if he hated his own parents he could have easily walked away and never look back.

This happened in the town I grew up in and still live in. He’s younger than me, so I really don’t remember him. It was just strange watching this, bc I know the DA in this case.

It angers me when people claim they intend to delete someone then self delete , or they say they just intended to self delete. Then, lo and behold, they do nothing to themselves. That is always a self-serving, infuriating lie.

Him killing his parents at age 20 is surprising. Parricide is usually committed by a teenager 14-17, tops, when they’re still dependent upon their parents for basic needs. What it tells me is that he was probably the emotional age of one much younger, which could be due to parents who “spoiled” him with material goods and always intervened so he never suffered the consequences for bad behavior outside of the home. That can actually cause tremendous resentment in a kid toward the parents for encouraging dependency instead of preparing him/her for adulthood. To people on the outside looking in, it seemed to them he had everything, but no one can really know what it’s like for the kid inside the home. He mentions once telling his mother he needed help, but she apparently either reacted negatively or ignored it. That’s often because the parent doesn’t “want” their child to have problems because they feel it reflects badly on them as a parent or perhaps they’re very invested in being viewed by others as having the perfect family. In other words, putting their feelings and needs above their child’s actual mental and psychological health. I’m not victim-blaming, just exploring why a kid who seemed to others to “have it all” would be so resentful toward his parents and view them as obstacles to his mental health. I seriously doubt he’s a danger to anyone, but if ever he has a chance at clemency I believe it will hinge heavily upon relocating to another state far from Louisiana and pursuing a degree or perhaps entering a seminary program to where his family feels more comfortable that he is occupied with something serious and not “studying” about them. My overall point is to quote the trite phrase of “No one knows what goes on behind closed doors”, even though they’re convinced that what they see is factual.

Apologizing and being remorseful is great. The consequence for murdering his parents is life in prison, so take full responsibility, stay in prison for the rest of his life, and help others in prison become better people if he has changed. The bible also state an eye for an eye, so he has already been shown more mercy than he showed his parents. RIP to his parents.

If he’s truly “changed” and wants to live a life of service-there are plenty of those in need in prison that he can minister to, and teach. He truly needs to figure out why he truly did it, if he doesn’t know. I pray his family finds peace by the grace of god. He’s not like Jesus..

I was thinking about one of the reasons I watch Mandoo's channel. the first reason is obvious - he's amazing - duh, but there are other reasons. my mom is from northeast Louisiana and my dad is from Chalmette (don't hate) and Alexandria. between the two families, I have people all over the state. my dad had a crop-dusting business, so summers were spent in a lot of places around the state. I was gone in the navy during the nineties and most of the 2000's, so alot of these cases are kind of new to me since I was gone at the time. I find myself contacting friends and family members about some of these crimes that are in their area. the only place I don't know anyone is in the heel. my brother settled in vermillion parish, and we talked about this one recently. just an interesting sidenote, not important. the pain and suffering of the families is the focus. I grew up catholic but married a Jewish man. not sure what I am now, a humanist perhaps. religion has always created division in my life but this guy kind of seems sincere. I'd sure hate to think after all that he's acting.
