I thought he was going to put down Lucas when he told him he didn't fool him, but instead he buoyed him by telling him he knows he's a good man. Who's the best Christian and why is it Emmett?
Emmett was just a side character in Season 1 but he became one of my favourites in Season 2. They killed him off too soon in my opinion, he should’ve been involved in the war with Chayton and the Natives.
@@flyguy1827 Emett was shook. He was looking for an argument, expecting Hood to reign him in - or something. "I got no problem with that" left him to be solely responsible for his actions, on his way to more violence.
It's what so many people don't realize about Christians, the whole world expects us to be this perfect carefree therapist people who are always 100% happy and are gonna turn the other cheek no matter how much crap is thrown at us, but what they don't realize is that we're human too and if you keep punching us over and over while telling us to turn the other cheek, eventually we're gonna snap and stand up for ourselves and when we do, we all of a sudden become the bad guys as if they weren't the bullies and bad guys to begin with and we're always hit with the "turn the other cheek, that wasn't very Christian like of you" or "no hate like Christian love" like seriously you think I'm just gonna sit here and let you tie me up against the wall and keep slapping my face while telling me to "turn the other cheek"? us Christians are also taught to stand up for ourselves and we shouldn't let people get away with evil. I always get bullied online for my beliefs and when I respond back, they paint me as the bad guy and bully every time. You can only push a man so far to the point he pushes back
@@malenurse1999 you mean a war which was simply an uprising against Muslim oppression no I didn’t forget Clearly you did since too forgot its true history
@@dresocray9719if he is a kid, then being scares is justified. Reality is not apart of a kids mind. If it is, then you'll either get a bad person or a good person in a few years.
The one thing people like him can never understand, is exactly what their dead loved one wouod want. If you had died, would you want your dad being condemned for life in a nasty prison full of hardened crooks? Spare your dad eternity in hell, let the killers go to jail. Heck, free even. Its either you die and so does your father, or just you. Its unfair, but id do that for my dad. No sense in having 2 victim's of a rotten system
Nobody wants their farther to die but if somthing happened to me it would be out of my control my old man would take out half the town just to get answers and nobody could tell him otherwise and I'd do the same for my children my step kids have an abusive farther they now want nothing to do with him now their older and after they seen me beat the absolute shit out of him after my oldest step son told me what he did I'm the one my step son comes to for everything now he dont cry to his mum he comes to me for comfort because I showed him id have his back no matter what or who
Emmet’s character was memorable throughout all the 4 seasons because he played the real Black Christian man who believed in the Almighty GOD and our justice system! Emmet was the example of what really matters is RED WHITE And BLUE.
I know people will want to try and contradict me about this, in defense of Emmet, but Im not gonna shy away from this. Im going to be completely honest, and I hope that anyone who contradicts me at least tries to do it maturely... What Emmet did here was wrong period, even if those guys deserved it. Kurt Bunker's story proves my point. Emmet and Kurt both developed beef with Neo-Nazi's, but Kurt chose to leave so that he could prepare his mentality to deal with them objectively whereas Emmet chose to stay knowing the risk it put his wife and child in. Kurt killed his own brother to do the objective thing as cop. What Emmet did here was not objective, it was just pure impulse. I understand the impulse but it was still impulse nonetheless. I think anyone who's mature will remember that impulse can be understood and even sympathized with, but it cannot be justified. So for anyone who doesnt like my opinion, don't ask me to justify Emmet's case because I sincerely cant.
Kurt Bunker also got caught by Brock i believe with a sniper rifle pointed at Maggies Nazi fathers head, an episode or so after Bunker promised that he would return him back to jail...
Girth Brooks Yes but he didnt do it out of impulse, he did it because he believed it was absolutely neccessary. I'll admit that like Emmet, Bunker wasn't behaving like a cop, but Bunker was doing what he was doing to protect Maggie and the rest of the town. He was at least for the most part still being objective, just not legally. I guess it's what you'd call Banshee-style justice.
STFU dude , what Emmet did is justified. Law/police is a sick joke and is self serving , mostly lapdogs, revenue raisers n morally ambiguous . You don't obviously have a wife or a kid , so your clueless. I would do what he did in a heartbeat if that was my wife n kid. The scales have to be balanced. So are you telling me if some dude punched your wife and killed your child you would accept it and forgive them and let the law let them off, do a few years in jail and then live free while your child was killed. Bruh you tripping. This episode shows that sometimes you gotta help tip the scales otherwise NOTHING gets done. When you have a family n responsibilities you will get it.
@@rtj7836 First of all I WILL NOT shut up! Second, I wouldnt say I’d forgive them right away. That depends on them. Third, I dont need a wife and kid to still have relatives that I dont want dead. 4th, I already convinced my relatives that if the day ever comes that if we had to choose between saving a family member/friend(or members/friends) over the lives of other human beings that are a greater quantity, we would choose the greater quantity by default. That’s what I am, a human survival absolutionist. I DO NOT care about vengeance, at least not enough to try and kill another man over it, as long as people stop dying as a result, that’s all I care about. Dude, I dont care what you THINK this episode shows, because in real life cops dont look out for themselves like the G Floyd news would have you believe, that’s just political and annecdotal(AKA cherrypicking) propaganda to help the government federalize policing so they could get more power which is nothing new as far as human history goes. Cops as they are now are almost always there to protect everyone for the sake of justice and order, including criminals, and they do it for VERY little money(hence why Hood here is stealing his own as an infiltration specialist). In real life, Emmet would’ve been jailed probably for a short time and then would never be able to put on that badge ever again. And I will say it, what Emmet did here was 100% UNjustified. I feel bad for him as anyone else does, but he did not do the right thing here. And on top of that, he gave those neo-nazis a reason to have no regret. Explain to me how that gets things done! I’ve seen neo nazis become friends with black people by being in prison for the crimes they were charged with, not by witnissing a betrayal of society and law by a cop. THAT’s how you get things done, so suck it up!
@@rtj7836 Oh and Emmet himself later said he cant risk being the man he was when he beat up those neo-nazis. At the end of the day, he knew hatred is not an answer. Best you get a grip on that.
I've taken looks and comments all my life too and I'm pretty normal looking but I've never got mad about it. You shouldn't shoot someone for personal reasons, only business.
