to explain what happened.. sayori becomes aware of what she really is.. that she is just a character from a mere game so she panics and deletes everyone in the game files. when you wait on that hanged sayori pic for 10 mins , a quote will appear "nothing is real" therefore this game is fucked up…
I seem to be the only one fascinated by this alternative ending. If you think about it in the context of this game, it's like if an intelligent being immediately popped into existence and immediately became aware of the fact that their reality isn't real all while having no actual knowledge about what they're supposed to be while still having knowledge about certain more abstract skills like observation, language/expression, and the ability to think. It seems pretty terrifying when you think about it. Probably the only moment in the game that chilled me.
It seems like she is in that alternative game that salvato might make but is aware she is in ddlc and I think a character either Monika or the other characters has to exist for her to thrive
@@charlesescano if u finish the game normally and make it to act 4 monika gets deleted by the player but she brings everyone else back thinking it’ll save the game. but cuz sayori was vice president and monika no longer exists then sayori is the new president and she becomes self aware just like monika
I think it’s explained in the Monika ending. To put it in short, the president of the literature club will always be self aware at not have a date route. Without Monika existing Sayori becomes the president of the literature club and looses her route. I can only assume that she can’t handle not having a route and subsequently kills herself (as seen if you try to open the game again.)
+Alex Hackett I think it's moreso she can't handle not being real at all, route or no route. She's already severely depressed to the point of being suicidal anyway. And no, that's not due to Monika "modifying" her; remember when MC mentions her "accidentally" causing a housefire that nearly burned her house down? Yeah. Hit me like a freight train when I realized it myself.
@@alexhackett1312 then if sayori dies, yuri becomes president then she also becomes Sentient. And possibly kills herself leaving natsuki being the president and the game just gets weirder and weirder
I think it's because Monika is supposedly responsible for the game's script (having started the club, and made you join through sayori), that when you delete her there's literally nothing for anybody to do.
It's implied in the end that the president supposedly gains sentience so with monika being deleted she had a existential crisis and realized what she is. I'm probably reading to much into this
Oh that would make sense. It also sits right with the idea that the president of the literature club is infact responsible for the script, seeing as they are responsible for the game, the game being the literature club itself.
She becomes sentient whenever Monika isn't in the game and the reality of being a real person with real feelings stuck inside a game forever makes her want to kill herself.
I triggered this ending after finding out I could delete files. I reset the game and deleted Monika’s file for the second time in a row after getting the normal ending. I didn’t know what to expect and I felt so bad after realizing what I indirectly did to her.. She was my favorite
After the game automatically closes, if you open the game again, you'll find this weird black and white static screen with a picture of Sayori being hanged. I don't know why this Easter Egg was there.
she ended herself for not being able to comprehend the fact she is not real + her mental illness didnt help at all with that, Monika was very sane to learn programming and create a path to live. the plot of the game is the president of the club will never have a path with the mc but Sayori does have one so concept got conflict, she realize her life is just code and since she don’t know how to delete herself (code) she just hang her self again like in the main game when her insanity reach peak. Like Mon-ika said, Sayori is not the really intelligent type considering she even hang herself wrong
Think of "our world" as their own lovecraftian secrets. They say if you learn the secrets of the universe in Lovecraft mythos, you would go mad, because there are things the human mind isn't meant to comprehend. That's basically what happens here. Because Monika's folder is deleted, and doesnt exist in this save, the game world defaults to making Sayori the club president in order to continue (because this is what naturally happens if you complete the game proper), but initially she's confused because she's just suddenly president out of nowhere. The thing is, the club president in this universe is basically god, but this god is self aware and knows that it only has power within this universe, a universe which exists exclusively to serve the player and there is no true freedom, just a loop of subservience. The true plot of the game is the fact that Monika knows this from the start, and has "accepted" it but attempts to reach the player (not the MC, the player) and make them fall in love with her. This ending is Sayori realizing the truth immediately, realizing that none of her life is real and there's nothing more than just *this*, and the sudden existential dread drives her mad, deleting the whole game world and killing herself in the process. If you do this, the game becomes permanently unplayable unless you hard reinstall. This is acutally sorta my favorite ending. I really like the way they thought about this.
Kenkenthatsme actually there is! if you want to know, basically you save the game once it starts, and then begin playing the game on one of the character’s routes. right before sayori commits suicide, you go back to the early save file and play the game again, this time on another character’s route. wait until right before sayori’s suicide again, then repeat with the 3rd character. this gives you a special ending.
It's true. You just have to be very careful about when you save before Sayori commits suicide. You can't save right before you walk in her house to find her dead, you have to do it earlier than that morning she doesn't come to school I believe.
No, it will in that case go to a screen showing Sayori hanging and dead. The game will always throw that in your face if she is deleted at your hand in this case.
Not only that happens. When you go on the game again it will say end and after that you will see sayori hung herself (I think she did it) and than is says "nothing is real"
I did that and panicked. So I opened the game again and it showed Sayori hanging. The screen was like static. I quit the game and my computer needed to restart. I let it restart and it did it again. And again. So I just decided to erase my computer. But, it restart, AGAIN. So I just decided to never play the game again. Like seriously, the game was terrifying. And I guess it got to my computer system too. ;-;
There's a file called "first run" in the main folder that you need to delete in order to play the game fresh from the start and try and get different outcomes/storylines. But yes, agreed, a terrifying and good game. It didn't get into your computer system aside from that.
the game doesn't mess with your PC except for the game files. Don't worry about that since it's illegal and the developers are aware of that. They merely scripted the game events to make it "look like" your PC is affected aka breaking the 4th wall. Fear doesn't originate from the game itself, but from you the player.
after seeing that all the other characters have been deleted I decided to restart the game and it showed me a black screen which is written the end I believe and then I saw Sayori's death in black and white and it was very scared
idk if anyone said this but if you open the game again you get a photo of sayori after she hung herself, and after 10 minutes "now everyone can be happy" in sayoris handwriting appears beside the hanging body. *creepy shit..*
What probably happened is Sayori randomly gained sentience as she walked up to us and couldn't process it and the game eithee deleted itself or Sayori deleted it, maybe because uncontrollably because of Sayori's unstability, how fast she gained the knowledge, and the fact that Monika had been deleted out of the blue. Or Sayori just couldn't handle it and basically killed herself and her friends by deleting everything.
I finished the game i remembered that she said that i could have deleted her ar the begining so the next time i deleted her and this happend it scared me soo much😨
there a twist message if monika start the geme when she reset the game you esc the game the start it back again.where there only 3 character sayori natsuki and yuri...if you copy monika file and put i back to the character file. open the game see her message.
i deleted all the characters. Then 1 day after, i can't find the game anymore.. i tried to download it again, it was successfully downloaded but i can't see it.
I feel like thia gives good insight onto why Monika did what she did. What happened to Sayori- except Sayori had a route, at least. Monika didnt. Gotta admit, i feel really bad for all of them, especially Monika.
I thought this was a glitch for me or cause I went back in a save. last time I tried to delete character files there was no effect. guess I just had to change the timing
You're lying. I tried, at end i got Sayori with her hanging herself but in a black and white screen with eerie music. It was shocking after seeing for first time!
The Player: “you though you had me under lock and key, but I was just curious to see what you’d all do. You though I was your plaything, that you’d taken me, blinded me, but, you were my playthings. After each reset. After each save and deleted file, just to start a new one. It’s just like that comedic skeleton said, “eventually it’s all going to be reset” and really, I DID do it because I was curious.😈 *deletes DDLC after it auto closes*. “Truth is, the game was rigged from the start”. *Shoots laptop while wearing nice suit*
I deleted Monika out of straight curiosity not know wth I was doing,my game closes,I open again and it shows sayori b/w $uïçīde,im never playing this ever again...and that's before I watched the vid....
SORI FO BAD ENGLAND ;) SPOILER (i think) AND PLEASE HELP ME I'm doing this too. And, nothing happend. She's still there. But i was copy it, and i'm paste into characters (monika.crh). At the final, I'M DELETE IT BUT IT'S NOT WORKING. I CAN'T FINISH THE GAME. HALP PLZ. (ya i'm copy all charaters to computer.)
White343 Yes, whoever becomes the president of the Literature Club will be self-aware and is gone insane. Literature Club is the true villain of the game.
