I tried to delete her before the game even started, but I guess she realized “Wait, you’re not supposed to do that!” and she put herself back. No kidding, her file just reappeared-
The difference is whether you have agreed to see disturbing content when you open the game for the first time. If you haven't, Monika will replace her character file.
I did that and it made Sayori have a panic attack as soon as I loaded the game, saying stuff like 'This can't be all there is...' 'What am I?!' 'MAKE IT STOP!' and then it came up with a screen of Sayori hanging and saying 'Now everyone can be happy'. I think there's a difference there though. What probably happened is Sayori randomly became sentient as she walked up to us and couldn't process it and the game deleted itself, maybe uncontrollably because of Sayori's unstability, how fast she gained the knowledge, and the fact that Monika had been deleted out of the blue. Edit: I didn't take the 'Now everyone can be happy' into account 😔
@@mattybrunolucaszeneresalas9072They mean that you need to delete Monika during act 3 to progress, and you hear her voice in the credits in Your Reality
There's a couple vids showing it. Long story short, deleting Monika early gives Sayori club presidency+sentience and she has an existential breakdown. The game shuts down with all .chr files missing and a grayscale picture of Sayori hanging. Deleting Sayori early goes straight to the hanging picture with no dialogue. Deleting Yuri or Natsuki have no effects.
I actually did this on my first playthrough, and nothing happened so I kept playing. Kinda ruined the experience when she randomly got deleted near the end out of nowhere, and not when I did it.
So basically , It’s just like you delete Monika as soon as act 3 starts , that’s how it happened , but to be honest , anyone who’s played DDLC Plus and Completed it would already know it wouldn’t work bc it’s not a picture in the Picture Gallery , It would 100% Be a Picture in there , Judging that there’s one for Deleting her in Act 1 and 3 but you can’t delete Monika right at the start of Act 3 , you gotta wait for her to stop talking , so that was interesting to see^^
When it said “delete her” at some point i thought they meant monika so i deleted her and so it happened exactly like that for me when i played it. I thought it was a message from our childhood friend watched youtube videos abt it and realized i missed the real freaky part
I remember I tried to delete her at the beginning of the 2 act because I was going through a good ending, finished with Sayori and wanted to switch to Natsuki, but saw Sayori's death.
It's Play With Me. The normal version plays during the "romance" scene with each girl. A slowed down version plays after Yuri's death, and it's what's in the video, except it's sped up, but not all the way, which is why it sounds normal when you speed it up even more.
@@n.1ko In programming, they use File Manipulation. As the game progresses, parts of the game files do actually change, and will actually impact how the game will work; for instance, when removing or deleting someone, based on your progress, the files will 'determine' what you've just done regardless, and make it into a "4th wall".
@@n.1koproblem with that is that breaking the 4th wall in itself has nothing to do with manipulating files. You can break it by having the character talk to you, as Deadpool does in the comics. It's just this game that decided that's the way they were gonna break it, since it's about a digital being becoming sentient. Very clever use of the possibilities a game offers in comparison to something which script can't be changed at all like a book.
I think it's cause in act 3, the game checks for the file named Monika.chr, and changing the name technically changes the file, which causes the game to think you deleted her
Yuri's and natsuki's files do nothing while deleting Monikas file will start the game with sayori gaining awareness, and she can't handle the information being processed as she is given it too quickly, she then deletes the entire game, and trying to start it will show a white screen with a silhouette of sayori hanging, deleting sayoris file will do something similar just without the part where she gains consciousness
That probably just leads to the game being the same, with no changes as the ending where sayori hangs herself early just wouldn't activate, I mean it depends if you open the game during that time period, then uh, changing it back would just restore the game
If you make a copy of her character file and put it back in, she says she doesn’t want to come back and asks you to stop playing with your heart- then deletes her file again
