I just love this scene. This Link is far more of a character in this game than in any I've played. I just love how much murder is in his eyes as Ghirahim takes Zelda. I also love the next scene where he has to take down hundreds of baddies with his amazing sword skills, and Din's Fire in his eye. Nayru's Love in his Heart. and Farore's Wind in his Blade. This is my favorite Incarnation of Link, and fitting that he was the very first.

Link has so much emotion and character in this game. I think the Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild Links are also very fleshed out, but Skyward Sword may be my favorite.

The difference between Link at 1:53 and 3:22 is astonishing.... I also had an extremely deep hatred for Ghirahim for ruining everything. (He's still my favorite villain but this cut scene makes my gorge rise every time I see him in game now... xP )

Even before he first gets up, you can tell by the way he moves and the way he's panting that he's hurt; i do wish they'd done a bit more with that immediately following the cutscene as it's weird that he's totally fine afterwards, but whatever Ghirahim did when he first appeared injured him and Zelda both.

Selkie's Song Yeah, that he's fine right after sadly really takes away from the impact the scene could have had. This way it just seems like they looked for a lazy way to let Ghirahim escape welp.

I know it's been 2 years but I've always thought that Ghirahim had some control over gravity (see: how he lifts zelda up) and was able to "hold" link down using that ability.

When you realize Ghirahim could just walk through the portal, because he doesn't want to waste time, but he still looks back and tells Link about his plan and even compliments him (somewhat sarcastically) how far he has come... such a lovely villain. ;)

This is my favorite scene. I just love how Link and Zelda are all "oooh happy joy Demise is dead" and I'm sitting here like "NO YOU IDIOTS WHAT ABOUT GHIRAHIM" and then SUDDEN APPEARANCE!!!!!! and then they're all like "aw shit we forgot about you" and I'm just like "YES SHOW THEM NOT TO LET THEIR GUARD DOWN. THANK YOU."

I still don't understand why link collapsed.. it seemed kind of random to me.. like they just needed an excuse for him not to stand in Ghirahim's way at that point. It's not like he was suffering from any grave injuries, that I know of.
