I’m so glad Swim Swim died like how could she do that to Top Speed she was pregnant, and Tama would have always had her back and she murdered her because she found a ‘secret’. Tama was so innocent and kind though... she would have gotten along well with the main character. I’m not even going to say the amount of sadness i felt for Hardgore Alice though, that was just cruel and heartless.
The only way that could have happened is if they attacked Swim Swim like how she attacked Alice, while she wasn't in her magical girl form. However that's unlikely to happen as they had no real way to catch Swim Swim out of her magical girl form and Ripple only wanted revenge and didn't really care about making her suffer. Granted the anime wasn't good and pretty much all the deaths were disappointing.

@@raze667It’s a flash bang buffed by Mary. It blew Ripple’s arm away even when she’s quite far from explosion. Swim was already a pile of goo but Ripple couldn’t see anymore so she had to make sure. Anime toned it down for obvious reasons.
I honestly don't hate Swim Swim because I'd rather blame the people or magical creatures behind that "Magical Girls Battle Royal" thing for pushing these girls to kill each other
IKR. Swim Swim was as much a victim as everyone else and everyone hates her for no reason, she was trying to survive so she could accomplish her dreams. Not to mention that she's literally 8 years old. She's an emotionally stunted child who was put in a position that would make anyone go insane.

Swim took Rulers words as gospel because of her personality and looks of a "princess", which all litte girls look up to. I'm not saying that Swim is COMPLETELY innocent, but she doesn't deserve all the hate she gets. She's literally 8 years old. She could've went her entire life without killing anyone, but because she was put into that situation by others she ended up that way.
OrangeSola This is not necessarily true. While Ruler did create a group to survive, her ideology was to never murder the other girls by their own hands. She only wanted to kill Mary, Mary was actually one of the more evil magical girls that needed to die to ensure the safety of ruler’s group. Ruler commanded them around, but at no point brainwashed any of them to kill innocent people. Ruler also showed kindness to her team, and wanted all of them to survive the game by means of stealing candies and hiding (with the exception of killing Mary for personal reasons). Swim swim totally lacked empathy from the moment we see her, and despite being in a well thought out team, she decides to kill Ruler so she can kill everybody else in the game. This was never ruler’s initial philosophy. Swim swim is just literally a psychopath who believes ruler wanted everybody to die via brutal murder, which she did not.
And when you realize swim Swim is a child... And she's a genius, who does not have empathy and sympathy... So swim Swim is the youngest among them... Damn brutal, how many people did that little girl killed?
It was still kinda sad because she was just a little kid but then she killed tama and hardgore alice and stuff but killing a broken little kid wont bring their souls back noo swim swim you could have been a good ruler just like in your dreams
First I thought she was just imitating Ruler in her own way but later her actions were just not understandable at all. I mean... you know it. How can such a little girl even have such a personality?! She did deserve a worse death. Definitely.

Imagine being the mother of a 4 year old girl. Just living a normal life with your four year old kid and husband. Suddenly your daughter vanished and you may never know that your precious four years old was killed in a death battle game. I went to check details on the series and learn that the girl who died was a four year old who was manipulated many times to kill for surivival.

so i forgot how did this anime end again i vaguely remember that a lot of people die there's only a few girls left alive after they beat the system they kinda fight some bad people overseas occasionally was it like that
Seeing those comments raging towards Swim Swim, while understandable and her death is certainly satifying, feels like they talk about her as if she's the most despicable villain, which is barely taped considering that she's a child with many case of problems and doesn't show that much of a sadistic traits like the likes of Cioccolata from Jojo or the Bully kid from Elfen Lied and as someone needs a proper distance and meaning of a despicable villain.
@@seiikei I've heard the source material is a lot better but I personally never read it, unless the anime is completely unfaithful to the source material I cant imagine it changing my opinion. My issues ultimately comes from the fact that the MC spends basically the entire show being Madoka levels of useless, but unlike Madoka she shows no potential to be anything more than useless.
Dragnric Velestia I think you watched an alternate version of this anime, because the original one we all know, Swim-Swim never had intention to save anyone and neither she did.
I do not know about you, but to some extent I felt bad for Swim Swim, do not misunderstand me, I hated her (and I half liked it in the sense that she was a villain that generated hatred). But at the same time I felt bad for her, since it was seen that she had a somewhat tragic past that turned her into a psychopath (or so I want to believe). But nothing was shown to support that, without that I felt that she was on the plan of: "I am a villain because yes". If something had shown, perhaps the spectators would have hated her less. When she was shown more, he was already saying: Oh great, we will finally know why she is a psychopath- * she dies * ... Well, that was disappointing. The truth is, I'm not satisfied with his death, I do not think anyone deserved it. Except maybe Calamity Mary and Fav.
And Cranberry. Don't forget, these death games were her desire and something she threw herself in because she was addicted to battle and butchery. Had she lived, she'd have just started the next one as she had been doing, up to that point, dozens of times. Whatever damage was done to her in the past to frame her in a more sympathetic light, the reality was that didn't matter anymore, and by this late stage and for a long time, she was just a rabid dog that needed to be put down.
I feel like everyone’s being a bit too hard on Swim Swim here and I can understand, she killed many innocent people 2 which were children and played dirty but she was just a misguided 9 year old who didn’t know any better. I’m not saying this justifies anything no she fucking deserved to die, she killed Top Speed for god sake and I don’t think knowing she was pregnant would have stopped her from killing but to say she deserved to be electrocuted to a chair or skinned alive there has got to be a limit. I mean she didn’t have any ill intent like doing it for fun she didn’t even know what she was doing she was just a child unlike Cranberry and Mary who had all the ill intentions. Would have liked if she could have atoned for what she did having the MC put her in the right path but that was very unlikely so she had to die even if she was 9 but torture she doesn’t deserve it
She wasn't even 9. She was 7. The books really make her come off as more sympathetic once you understand everything she was going through. I mean first she's incredibly young, to the point that she doesn't even understand the concept of death. Then you have the fact she was made a Magical Girl so young, which yes, does have an effect on ones mind every time they transform, in this universe. A girl's emotions are actually suppressed once they transform to help deal with stress. But imagine experiencing that while your brain's not even fully formed. Imagine being a small child and having your mind artificially messed with, like someone just gave you drugs. Then you have the adult she fell into mentorship with, and don't get me wrong, I love Ruler. As a character, Ruler is actually very sympathetic and her death is tragic in its own way as were this any other situation, chances are Swim Swim and Tama would have thawed her own broken heart and healed her bitterness. But it was clear that in this moment she was dealing with some dark emotions, had been stepped on most of her life, and was passing that negative perspective on to the kids around her-- telling them its a dog eat dog world, they have to be willing to stab backs if they want to get ahead, etc. She was doing this as much out of love as out of bitterness at her own life, but it did contribute to making a child like Swim Swim, who was looking up to the only adult in the room to guide her, learn all the wrong lessons. Then finally, you had the threat and trauma of the death game itself. Of all these girls being forced to fight for their survivals. Throw all of that together and it's not so ridiculous how Swim Swim became the way she did. The books make it even more apparent how tragic all of this is, as when you're in her PoV, you can feel how confused she is of the violence around her and how secretly terrified and broken she feels, despite her outward emotions appearing calm. But despite that, she does what she thinks she is supposed to do, because the adults and magical mascot character told her this was how you're supposed to do things and so she doesn't understand any other way.

The only characters I actually liked are the ones whose presentation and personality were good enough that I enjoyed seeing them on screen (which off the top of my head was about 5-6 of the 16 girls). Also the main character, Snow White is fairly obviously based on Madoka (as the show itself clearly draws a *lot* from PMMM) however they fail miserably in trying to do that as Madoka gets a pass for being useless as Homura pretty much forces her not to become a MG until the end and when she is a MG she is pretty strong, Snow White on the other hand does not get this pass as she is a MG the entire show but is completely useless. Yes I get the reason for it is because of plot in having the MC be pure and not kill anyone or something like that, but considering what the show is having a character (the MAIN CHARACTER at that) being completely defenseless and having other characters to conveniently protect and die for them makes the character extremely difficult to like or care for, at least in my opinion.

The books did this better as they didn't try to focus on giving every single throw-away a backstory, they spent more time on the ones that mattered, and they definitely didn't show you a backstory before axing a character. It wasn't even possible to care for the main characters because they portrayed every single one of them in the most shallow, unimaginative way possible. Hell, even when the books didn't focus on a character, it at least tried to give you an idea there was more to them. The anime? Nope. The MGRP light novels were being written before Madoka Magica even finished. Snow White in book 1 even has platinum blonde hair instead of pink, and her character arc is so very different from that of Madoka's. Sure, they're both middle-schoolers when made into Magical Girls, both are idealists and pacifists, both are very naive in the beginning, but that's literally where the similarities end. And especially after book 1, we're talking night and day differences as characters go. But then, I can't blame people for thinking this because the anime provided no depth to her character, and the writer, for as much as he spergs out when people compare his story to Madoka Magica, was the one that decided to make Snow's hair pink to draw all the MM fans and get them making the comparisons. He really has no one to blame but himself for that. But trust me, as much as the show butchered her into being like one, she's not a Madoka clone. And the books are so much more interesting than the crappy anime. Take my word for it. You wouldn't regret reading it if you're ever interested. SPOILERS: You can't really pin Snow White completely with any of the MM characters, but if you had to, she actually shares a hell of a lot more in common with someone like Homura or Sayaka. Whereas Madoka has so much power she's able to make a wish that makes her a god and lets he fix everything, Snow White has to struggle and suffer and live with the consequences of her failings, with no hope of ever being able to change the past. She can only try, like anyone else, to make good of a crap situation in the present and future. And it makes her a darker, colder, angrier character. She's still noble, still follows her ideals, is truly a good person underneath (and incredibly quick-witted to book, something else the anime never shows you), but she also is incredibly traumatized and altered by her experiences. She's more withdrawn, more cynical, and more violent. You get a taste of this in the last episode but it's not nearly enough to justify what her character becomes. In fact, that last episode annoyed me because it completely skips a massive part of her development that justifies the sort of girl she becomes. @@chunkmcbeefnob717 As I said in another comment, it's fine lol I've had multiple conversations like this before. Though with the Madoka clone part, yeah they really made a mistake there cause while different, the opening scene was pretty similar to the opening of Madoka (exception PMMM's opening is more relevant to the show than MGRP's was). Though yeah looking at the screenshots and a brief glance at the TV Tropes page she definitely does seem more interesting than the show gave her the chance to be (and my reply in a different comment saying I don't like useless MC's clearly doesn't apply here after the first arc), but I probably wont read it for a while cause I am busy with finishing some stuff to graduate so I wont have time to dedicate to getting and reading an LN.
I don't know if this should be called satisfying... But if I'm the one that killed her with all my hatred and anger. Only to find out that she is just a 7 year old kid. I would probably feel bad and regrets
