The reason I like mechanical and organic is because their sound relate to the stage themselves, mechanical has more metallic, functional sounds and organic is like if someone was being held together with life support
It honestly feels like Clay was made after most of major songs were made, and they didn’t wanna leave it out and decided to just plop it in here, I hope someone makes a full version of it, but honestly having it on loop is amazing anyways. Also justice for Mechanical? I liked it a lot.
I feel clay is the only specimen (outside of Paper) has an more clear vocals, because all i can hear is "made to forget, Born to forget" and at last is "Today we'll bake some pie", which slaps
I honestly think that out of all the themes, paper does the best for what it’s supposed to do. Clay is still the best song obviously but I still feel like paper just gives you a feeling of dread that should be in a battle like this. Every other song (excluding the grandpa on life support song) goes hard instead of feeling helpless. Still, in a vacuum, paper is pretty mid.
Here's my list 6 - organic - It's just pretty boring without much happening 5 - paper - Not a fan of the random voices but idk what to say other than that 4 - polygonal - it kinda reminds of old retro horror ARGs, but the melody feels pretty empty to me 3 - patchworked - sounds pretty lively with a touch of horror with the screams and I'm a big fan of cutesy things paired with nightmares 2 - clay - This one is fire, propably has the most going on in it. The jevil samples add a lot to it (and also prunsel reference) 1 - mechanical - I've seen a comment somewhere about the guitar riffs being modified to resemble screaming and i couldnt agree more. Not only that, but you can hear a "heartbeat" at a point and even a gun reloading. These details add so much to the mechanical horror feel and i just love it so much.
Mechanical is my favourite both in theme and how it sounds. It sounds rocking yet kinda like you could be killed by machinery at any given moment letting your guard down.
I really like organic because of how disturbing it is. Also because funny isaac refference Mechanic's theme is also one of my favorites since it has this feeling of a mixture of hotland, policing and overall just glitching noises, Paper is good but only because it honestly sounds like a theme you'd hear in something like cruelty squad Patchworks is just funni. Polygonal is just peak n64 horror, something feeling incomplete but at the same timr complete Clay is just good idk why
Ma list i can sense someone wants me [[GONE FOR GOOD]] 1st.- Mechanical for me is the one that goes the hardest the only one i can listen non-stop 2nd.- Clay of course it goes hard but it doesn't feel the same after 3 hours of listening in repeat 3rd.- Patchworked is good, that's all i can say lol 4th.- Polygonal because i don't like the atmosphere it gives, if the others had a better melody this one would easily go lower :\ 5th.- Paper, perfect mid for me, nothing great, but nothing bad 6th.- Organic... yeaaahhhh... no [[SELL]] this one off
6) organic, the breathing makes me super uncomfortable and too damn silent. 5) Paper, the only thing notable about t is the laugh 4) mechanical, it sounds good as random sounds put together. 3) Polygonal, it's like a creepier banjo Kazooie 2) Clay is great but I love patchwork more 1) Patchwork, omg it feels so uncanny I love it.
the best i can say for organic is that it does a pretty good job as a "this is a break from the main attraction" song, but i feel like paper did that better anyway to give my ratings: 6 - organic; i get the whole thing with the life support system since it looks like youre killing a heart, but i wouldve preferred if instead it gave me the vibe of "biomass forming where there shouldnt be any" (think like. prototype idk) 5 - patchworked; just doesnt really hit right for me 4 - polygonal; it just sounds inconsistent to me. it feels like im going from a circus/friendly town in a jrpg to the point in a jrpg where the main villain threatens the world when the trumpets(?) kick in 3 - paper; laughter kinda reminds me of plok's boss music, and im a big fan of indecipherable words. general banger 2 - clay; love it for the same reasons i love paper, and it generally goes really hard. though thinking on it, the music mightve gotten me killed a couple of times 1 - mechanical; im an ebf fan. my favourite song is as the shadow. the guitars scream at you there. they scream here as well.
My opinion 6:organic It's just intrument and hospital noises/: 5:Polygonal It's pretty weirdly put toghether, atleast it's WAYYY better than organic 4:patchwork Just because it gives off Coraline vibes dosent make it worthy of being in the top 3,still good tho 3:mechanical I like the snips from "your best friend" and the random chainsaw and gun noises and the big beats 2:paper I like the laughing and random rambling and the beats,it's a super good specimen theme for a yoshis island looking specimen 1:clay I like the guitar riffs and the beat drop, the talking also sounds like jevil,or even spamton
Personally from least to most cool, I’d go organic -> paper -> hard between patchwork and polygonal (the former playful and the latter gives a kinda n64/retro feel) -> clay/mechanical Unless aesthetics are involved, then mechanical on top
I feel like clay would have worked really well as this fights version of “finale” if it were extended. At least it felt like it, being the one I did last and got stuck on the most.
In terms of music, I love Patchwork and Mechanical the most, they just fit so well for their respective themes (I mean so does Organic but that dosnt mean its good) In terms of design, yeah its still Mechanical and Patchwork. Im a sucker for stitched up dolls and toys, and the mechanical artstyle along with all the holes in the face is really cool to me.
my list 6. Organic | duh 5. Mechanical | it's good and fits the theme, its just my least favorite (excluding organic) 4. Polygonal | It's inconsistent, and for whatever reason i can't get it out of my head. Still better than mechanical tho 3. Paper | It really hammers in the "this is a nightmare you can't escape from" vibe of the fight. I also like the use of the annoying dog sound 2. Clay | It's good. What else do I say? 1. Patchworked | I associate it with Flowey in general. A flower that seems nice, friendly, and willing to help, but you can tell that something is very wrong.
@@kolyakun3492Clay is literally just high pitched and remade meta flowey theme, Mechanical just goes hard with the electric guitar and the fact that it gives trypophobia vibes.
@@kolyakun3492im adding in the fact that the electric guitar riffs mixed with the other instruments sound like a scream imo, which adds with the fact that flowey has seen and felt(?) things not meant for normal people
@@kolyakun3492 because it’s good? Same reason people like clay. You could literally say clay is also a random assortment of sounds. Mechanical is the best
Mine: 6. Organic It’s really unnerving and doesn’t have a definite melody to it; only life support beeps 5. Polygonal I don’t get the hype around it. In my opinion, it’s just weird shit thrown together 4. Paper Not bad, just really mid. It’s mostly laughing and a bit of a dread noise 3. Patchworked Now this is where they get good. Patchworked sounds like something from Find the Markers, not gonna lie 2. Mechanical Most of it is just random noises that don’t mean much, which would earn it about 4th on this. However, the part at 1:24 goes HARD, giving it 2nd 1. Clay Do I have to explain this one?
I mostly agree with this tier list! IMO, there aren't any "bad" ones, per se. I think an important part of the soundtracks is how well they mesh together with the prototype, which organic does not really manage. 6: Organic (6/10). Lots of wasted potential. A large appeal of the Omega Flowey fight for me was its unhingedness, and the original does not hold back from showing some realistic anatomy either. The soundtrack is alright, but it feels disjointed from the prototype. Also, there is a prototype with a similar artstyle (mechanic) coming up as well. If I were in charge of designing this phase, I would've tried my darndest to create a realistic-ish pulsating heart that does not make people projectile-vomit at their monitor. Stress the heartbeat in the song. Also, replace the blood pellets and viruses with frames of a realistic 3D-Render. I love bold creative decisions, but then again, a realistic design may not be for everyone and younger audiences will definitely play this as well, so perhaps taking the current design was the better choice. 5: Mechanic (7/10) Alright theme with lots of random noises, good design. The metric ton of circular saws feels a bit uninspired, though. 4: Paper (8/10) Banger OST, good, unique but shallow design compared to the others. Not much to add here. 3: Patchwork (10/10) Great and frolicking OST. Gorgeous design. 2: Clay (10/10) Fantastic Intro and great overall, excellent and unique design. Reminds me of Hylics a lot. Love it. 1: Polygonal (11/10) Fantastic and eerie design. OST makes you feel like you are in a wretched circus, being Flowey's plaything, fitting perfectly in the fight. The stickbugs smoothly crawling downwards are a great, eerie addition. Also, I'm a sucker for low-poly N64 graphics.
@@zackagonxm I honestly think paper and organic both were missing potential. It might’ve been Mitch but for organic leaning into flesh horror could’ve been a good idea, and paper just overall is really sort of lazy.
Imo all the specimen themes work very well for what they try to do and none of them sound BAD. but also this is just the correct opinion yeah I don’t disagree much. Clay is definitely the best one for sure
yknow based on the art style and subject matter, it wouldn't really surprise me if whoever did the art for the organic specimen had taken inspiration from Mad Rat Dead
0:13 sounds like your in the ER 0:56 sounds like some FNAF animatronic chase theme 1:43 reminds me of how bad i am at origami 2:15 reminds me of yoshis crafted world or yoshis wolly world 2:53 ... HORROR MOVIE, WHAT THE HECK, or throwing the baby penguine off the edge in mario 64, and then the mom is all like this song 3:41 i automaticly think of gravity falls, and flowey is there to chase mabel and dipper, it's kinda cool when you think about it
i think patchwork is honestly my favourite. love me some evil circus music!! also love polygonal but it's like. #3 for me. it just sounds like patchwork's little brother. love clay though. second only to patchwork i think. it's a really cool song :)
Organic and clay too cool. organic uses the sounds of the thing that feels the heartbeat, so organic is very atmospheric and therefore organic is cool. and Clay is cool because of the music and musical effects. That's why organic and clay are the most awesome tracks in the game. 😎😎😎
When he talked about that it reminds him of coraline bc of the eyes, now that i think about it.. It gives me uneasy vibes everytime i look at patchworked flowey.
All 6 themes for each sub phase are great in their own regard but when it comes to ranking, its not difficult to see which ones are above other. That doesnt mean that least ranked is like straight up bad.
