How large is Milo? I have an extra large Maine Coon that is 19" in height (shoulder-paw), over 40" long, paws nearly the size of my palm, and nearly 30 lbs. Trying to determine if he can fit in the Litter Robot before I spend that much money on a poop machine! 😀 His current box is a converted storage container from Home Depot, placed in a 3'H×2'Dx3'W "house" we built because nothing else is big enough.
Spoiled is right. Lol! I ordered one for my spoiled furkid Ezekiel last week. It's arriving this Wednesday. I sure hope my little guy likes it. I bought the open air with the phone app, the extra accessories, and the wooden cover. Set me back a pretty penny but it will be worth it to not have to scoop anymore.
Paige Leigh Thank you Paige! I truly didn't think I'd adopt again as I lost my cat Lucas Sept last year. After 30 plus years having fur kids I thought he'd be my last. The loss gets to be really hard. Two months ago a friend suggested I adopt a partial feral rescue as he's HIV+ and the rescuer was fearful no one would take him. Since I have no other cats there's no chance he can infect any others so I took him in. He's acclimated to indoor life quite easily, so I'm hoping he will take to this box just as quickly.
Terri as hard as the loss of our fur-babies is, and I do feel their loss as much as I do my family who have passed, the joy of having them and giving them a good life, outweighs that pain. :)
Thanks so much for the full demonstration. I'm definitely considering getting one for my two cats; they make such a mess with their digging; this would be ideal. How long did your cat take to get used to it; meaning - did the enclosed space (looks small) freak him out at all? I might do a transition, so they have both for awhile to get used to it.
Hilary C he took to it immediately first we had it in the bathroom no plugged in for 2 days and put a bit of poo from his old litter in with it and he used it straight away. He was timid the first time but after that he was fine, then we moved it downstairs near a plug and have had it plugged in for about 2 weeks now. It was a really easy transition
That's great. It costs a bit more here in Canada $598 + free shipping, but it does look worth it. Thank you very much for the feedback; I appreciate it.
It would've been a lot cheaper to just have MILO share your toilet! (No litter required!) DON'T laugh! Years ago, as a boy, I knew a Siamese cat who WAS "potty trained" by its owner. No.joke!
