I doubt that they're that happy. I'm pretty sure they wanted a specific Spongebob game, I think it was Battle for Bikini Bottom. I've heard that was supposed to be the best Spongebob game ever but he might still end up playing it. I mean, he's played almost every Harry Potter game, so he might do the same with Spongebob. I've legitimately played every single early and mid 2000's spongebob video game. I was that kid who had spongebob on literally everything I owned. So, all the games kinda just mix together in my brain to be honest, but battle for bikini bottom is the one I remember most and I loved the most as a child.

Something about this game always carried this surreal vibe with it more so than any other Spongebob game. Bikini Bottom felt like this quiet, lonely maze of coral and industrial buildings, and the way the music stops whenever the narrator speaks to you is just downright creepy.

Battle for Bikini Bottom is so good! You wouldn't expect it to be, being based off of a TV series, but the developers really outdid themselves with that game and made it something special. It's definitely worth finishing all the way through!
