@@fademario2000 I believe the one in the original was 2d. (It was freak at to me as kid.) Although I prefer the original frozen SpongeBob, I don't think it'd fit this art style.
The fact that he goes back to the center of the arena is quite weird, but at least the spin attack can now hit the two floating platforms that couldn't in the original is nice
I'm playing the original right now, but he can still hit me when I'm on one of those little platforms 🤷♀️ If that's not supposed to be a thing then I guess it's a glitch 😉
@@dearsirdearyou4153 Its the second major boss in the game... But again thats not exactly what im refering to. The projectiles he's throwing out while spinning are roughly the same, so the attack is basically the same. I just don't get why they got rid of him ricocheting off the arena, and instead opted to have him slowly move around randomly while spinning. Spongebob has no reason to be in the middle anyways during that attack, and in sandy's case, thats the whole reason why you had to keep dropping crates.
I've played the original so many times that I can pinpoint almost every detail of the fight different beyond the obvious ones, and I'm not sure I like many of them. I only want to mention some that I found that was less obvious: - His slam attack that he starts out with is even more useless. It used to go outward in a splash effect, but now it's a very small line right close to him. I was hoping they would make that move not useless. - His ice breath acts more like his spray move from the sandy fight, as opposed to the original where it's a slow moving horizontal wave. - One thing I did like was that when he does the spray move in the sandy part, he always starts from your location. In the original he started from the front of the stage and turned about 270 degrees. However it looks like the move dosent last as long as the original. - It looks like he has less of a lag time between moves than the original. - The reason the goo collides with the vat on the top of the arena is because the goo arcs. In the original, not only did spin faster allowing the goo to be dispersed in a wider pattern, the goo was shot almost straight out from him with a slight arc. Yes, I recognize the obvious ones like "he always dizzies on the center" and ''the ball now bounces on the goo", but I wanted to make other changes more known
@@TOThijs I thought about that too, but I think it's a product of the ice move being changed so much from the original. Is the version that everyone else online is playing some kind of beta access, or is it just an early copy of the final thing?
Lol no I got this game early on accident because my local Walmart released it this week on accident I assume but there’s a lot of bugs right off the bat that are noticeable but I just ignored them and really enjoyed the game. Other than that there were some times when a sound clip wouldn’t play
The cutscene before the final phase and the final phase need to be fixed Robo-Patrick doesn't eat the goo anymore Also bubble bowl doesn't pop on goo anymore? Overall, I do like the new expressions in these scenes over the original but this game is in need of a update to patch the small problems
The Only Thijs I don’t mind the bubble rolling on goo. Honestly, that could have been an intentional change to make the fight easier. Kind of like the warning markers for his projectile landing spots. But the cutscenes and environment need to be fixed. Sometimes the goo has weird texture problems and shift to different color shades randomly in no fluid manner. And that cutscene before the final phase just looks really unfinished. I mean, the goo doesn’t even come up to melt Spongebob and Squidward out of the ice, how did they give that the green light?
To be honest, I feel like it’s good that bubble bowling ball is now rolling on goo. Besides, it made of bubble and makes it less complicated to aim the bubble bowling ball while also trying not to fall in the goo courtesy of the treads you’re standing on.
This game looks amazing my only complaint is the red circles when the boss attacks I feel like it makes it to easy telling the player exactly where there gonna get hit
The facial expression on spongebob during the first cutscene looks SO WRONG, the original had MORE emotion and didn’t look faked and out of place, the mouth flap kinda bothers me
Agreed despite the model looking more hd, the expressions are so stiff and awful compared to the original. Not to mention robot patrick looks WAY less intimidating than the original which bothers me a bit.
Bruh now when he throws up it doesn't make sense, before when he would pull down the lever he would eat all the goo but now he doesn't eat it at all, details like those is what made this game amazing.
This Battle looks much more easy than the Original One or not? Im the only one who thinks that? Also now you see where his Spining attacks goo is flying it makes it much more easy than the Original one! Stupid that they made his strongest attack now weaker 🤷🏼♂️
I like how they tell you where the goo projectiles from Robo-Patrick's ice cream are going to land. I remember, in the original, this was the hardest boss fight because it was so hard to predict where Patrick's goo projectiles would land and the moment you get hit, you would have to go through the cycle again before you can hit him. Such a pain...
Cristian H I feel like this version is an early build of the game that was made at a certain point in the games development and the update will act as the thing that brings the game to the Lastest version so it is possible that the taking feedback from fans had started AFTER this build of the game but somethings like Sandy’s dream having a Texas skybox looks to be implemented
CaptainEli 24 Because the uploader clarified in the comments of one of his videos that he got his copy a week early because Walmart started selling it too early by accident. This is the game.
True that. I'm so mad that truth or square on the xbox 360 looked way better than this game, visually. Battle for bikini bottom was my childhood and I expected more from this remake.
The original looked and did better then this, the facial expressions for spongebob at the beginning seem off and emotionless with how they look, kinda empty there, would wanna see that have more given to it, the mouth flap bothers me but it’s about it
It's a shame they changed the looks of the toxic waste. In the original game it glowed radioactively, here it looks like flat goop. Would've really been cool to see it glowing with the new lightning systems they have, probably could've dimmed the ambient lighting and would've made for much better atmosphere
@@amurilloreno It was though. Your nostalgia is probably giving you false memory syndrome. Believe it or not this game has always had flaws and was never perfect. It's a good game, but not super polished 10/10 good.
I played the game. In order for the camera to lock on bosses, put it on Smart Camera mode. (Don't do it on Robo Sandy if you want to move the camera to make her look like she's towering over you.)
Fun fact Or... A creepy fact i guess Robot patrick is the ONLY robot boss that actually DIES The other bosses just malfunction and deactivate, but robo pat just literally explodes into pieces, with also him being the only one to actually have the voice of the character they are (robo plankton doesnt count) Pretty creepy stuff
I haven't played it yet but if I could compare the boss looks wise I kinda like the og more because of how unsettling it was, from the lighting, to the models of the frozen characters.
There are some sound bugs but I’m sure it will be fixed in a patch real soon. Same thing with the boxes not landing behind robo patrick while playing as sandy
Alright these fight battles are wayyy too fast compared to the original ones. I get they just cut the dead space in between the fight moves but it degrades the idea of a boss fight.
I hate this so much. The old one had such a creepier, more dark atmosphere. For example, the old battle had patrick completely grey, there was little to no light in the fight, the out tune creepy music, the implications of squidward being dead, and the fact that the patrick robot just being menacing in general. The rehydrated takes away all of this, by making patrick bright pink, the lack of darkness in the atmosphere, and the game’s overall over saturation and brightness. It turned into my memorable and creepiest moment in the game to another boring uninteresting boss fight.
Sorry to be nit-picky but in the original robot Patrick ate the goo that came from the big funnel up top. That’s why he always follows it with a fountain of goo.
Im suprised purple lamp didnt noticed that in the original, robo patrick actually drinks the goo from the goo tank in the 2nd phase in order to do the puke attack As robo patrick is pulling the rope to get the goo in phase 2, he stores his ice cream in his stomach
Now that I think of it the reason why they didn't make robot Patrick menacing and scary is because they went for the more robotic look see how his mouth looks like some sort of handle opener and look at his bellybutton its a screw (I think) and he has antennas on the sides of his head while the original looked like a giant Patrick (personally)just more menacing all the other robots look just as robotic and that's a good thing. So don't try to hate robot Patrick's new design (not trying to be rude) comment if you agree (not trying to force you). P.S don't worry robot Patrick still has his teeth if you look closely. P.P.S (lol) I just realized if you look closely that the cone for robot Patrick's toxic waste ice cream is a toxic waste barrel which suits it very well.😃😀👍
Is it me or are some of the sound effects missing? Like when patrick is spinning I remember there being a spinning sound and when patrick is blowing ice at you it also had a frosty sound effect.
In order to get the game out they had a patch ready so the early version people have is before the patch. The virus slowed down work so review copies and the early waves are not patched but launch day gets a patch to iron out a few sound and animation problems so what you see is kind of unfinished as the virus slowed work down so they had to give out review copies that are sadly a bit incomplete. The final touches are in the works for a patch that was set for launch day.
Here's a question that I want to ask the comment section. During any attack in the fight, there are red circles on the ground, as indicators. Do you think it makes this fight too easy, or do you think it makes it more fair? If possible, explain your reasoning
I gotta say this games tougher than i remember, i had a hard time with just king jelly fish alone the rest werent so bad in fact they seem to be easier some anyway. Also can someone explain while im swinging with sandy out of the blue she just drops and falls to her death on occasion after she lets go of the rope and i dont even give her thr command to. I mean its like (Sandy lassos in air) (sand ropes floating ball) Sandy: yee ha! (Swings once) (falls for no reason. Me: dafuq?! 🤨🤔 She did that enough to piss me off. 👿
Does anyone like that Segmented Body Part look of the Robot Friends in the Remaster? I think I might have liked the old look better where it simply looked like the characters just with a bolt texture and some "Its a Robot" add-ons, like Robo Sandys Eyes and Mouth. The segmented body parts makes more sense for robots, as metal usually isnt able to bend for mouth movements, however the flap as a bottom lip just looks too odd in my opinion, and seeing the dark stretching parts in between the segments is alright but still odd... And its not even Creepy Odd like the originals either, just... Odd...
