Highly recommend listening to “Caramel” by Piglet. It has a very similar melody. I remember hearing it for the first time in high school and couldn’t put my finger on why it sounded so familiar, but then after searching my brain for a long time I remembered it was this!

I had problems shooting with the Reef Blower, and then Gary fell into the Spike Pit I then found out what happens if you don't escort Gary safely: He dies and you instantly die too.

i was always like "awww" because i think thats cute

I found the trick to it was, before you get Gary, get rid of everything in the path first, and then go back for the snail. But I could be remembering this wrong or had a bad copy.

Savage Dude That song's up there for me now, I hadn't really ever gotten to world 5 playing the game as a kid, so I barely remembered that song when I was re-listening to this OST. Both this song and Industrial jellyfish fields are in my top 5 for sure.

@@ccjr.allsorts it's called a HX in the files. But the only instrument I can think that uses an H at the start is harmonicas and those are are called harm

@@shyguy85 HX? I think I saw that instrument is used in Lava Fields' music, where it plays the part of the first half's melody, and the entire second part. I'm not sure what it's meant to be either. I keep thinking it's either another kind of guitar (because it has regular and pitch bend samples like the jazz guitar) or some kind of saxophone. It's a very simple-sounding synth-like instrument, though., so that's what makes it so hard to identify. I guess it being so simple is what makes it morph into a violin or fiddle in this song.

You know, it's interesting. I listened to this when I first started college because I was so nervous. It was a whole new environment and I had no idea what to expect, so I played this song because it reminded me of a time where I felt safe and happy as a kid. Now that I've graduated, I can only look back at this song as a memory of starting new things. It's crazy to me that I'm finally here graduating college. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for me.

Eh its about average. "Crap" is defitively way too harsh IMO. Its playable and fun. Not outstanding by any means, but considering its time, its quite decent tbh.
