+Theblastingkirby64 I know right, they really fucked up that line and many others. You know the "Haha! It's a giraffe!" line? Guess how they translated it? "Haha, che buffo quell'animale!" which would be "Haha, that animal is so funny!" I mean, I grew with the Italian version, and I love the voices as I think they fit the characters perfectly but some lines were just so stupid...ugh.
and at the end spongebob says "thanks for been tried" (I don't know if this is the exactly translation to englisht. But the italian version is different from the rest)

В данном контексте перевода лучше употребить was dying, так как глагол "умирать" здесь в несовершенном виде. "Ran away" = сбежали. У нас в стране хоть и есть цензура, но она, к счастью, не распространяется на историю про моллюска, как это было у итальянцев.
I love the german version. "..., dass alle Leute gestorben sind... Ende!" The way he says "Ende" just sounds so final, like a really abrupt end to a perfectly normal story. Like a stewardess finishing the safety briefing and saying "Thank you". That'll be all. Good night. It's just so perfectly final!

Kristanni20X6 That's *nothing.* You can't imagine the cringeworthy moments granted by a DVD release of any series (Lupin the Third and Family Guy come to mind) where a scene that was deleted for syndication pops up. Why? Because the deleted scenes weren't even dubbed. So imagine a girl at the beach losing her bra, and Lupin and the others suddenly speaking in Japanese, or Peter Griffin's voice switching from Mino Caprio to Seth MacFarlane as soon as he pulls off the "spitting a chocolate bar while your hood is closed up so it looks like an anus" gag.
