12:30 once you start getting into Mendelian genetics, you start to realize that most phenotypes(traits) are determined by a number of genes. Much like skin tone and height, many traits are determined by many genes working together, meaning that calling one trait recessive or dominant only works is certain cases (like pea plants for example)

I'm pretty sure it was confirmed SpongeBob was a guy. Also, his name is SpongeBob Sponge-Bob. Bob is a male name :p And it's just a cartoon anyway lol, it doesn't have to make too much sense
