This video is a reminder of where aeromodelling started and how it's still just as relevant today. The model could have been built the same and flown on that same hill 40 years ago. 2 channel rudder elevator classic design slope soaring, the radio gear was heavier and bigger in the beginning but still would have worked the same in this model. In 40years rc has come so far...and yet the feeling of letting go of a model and watching it rise from your hands, soaring round like a seagull and catching it again is as magical as ever. Great job showing the simple pleasures of rc aeromodels
Stunned again Sir John! What a stellar craft. It is always a delightful surprise to see what you come up with next, and this was no exception. I now have about 31 official Woodfield "favorites"! Build and finish are impeccable, very pretty model. And it flies like a bird in the hands of a master pilot, captured by his equally skilled videographer. An absolute pleasure to watch as always. Many thanks!
Once again all the wonderful things that I was composing in my head have already been said. All I can do is share this wonderful video of a super model built by a very talented person and pilot.
I have never witnessed in my life a soul that has so many models. I just cannot fathom how you come by so many. I am just jealous!!! You are a really clever pilot John. You have flown so many types now that I class you " Top Man". You have the experience to say what is good and what is not so good. You inspire me greatly. BTW.,.your Wifey with the camera is also " Top Dog"...those scenes are awesome.. She is just so good. The perfect pair The perfect hobby ( obsession ) The perfect venue. You have it all John.
Thank you. I normally have about 30 models at any one time. I really enjoy building, so am always making something new. But then when I run out of space I sell off the ones I don’t fly so much. I’m very lucky that my wife doesn’t mind coming out to film the planes and to have such a great slope right on my doorstep.
first of all congratulations to your wife who is fantastic in filming! then congratulations to you who fill our souls with your flying jewels. I would like to ask you, from all of us who follow you, if it was possible a second video with specifications and maybe some photos of the construction of your wonders ... respectively model by model. would do a lot of good in the world of TRUE modeling! show us how you cover a wing, how you build a fuselage and all the passion you have. it would be nice to see you at work! a strong strong hug from Italy and thank you very much for the emotions you give us so often🤗
I really enjoyed the tight fast pirouettes, the last group the best! Funny, at first glance I bought oh boy, John bent the wings on a J-3 Cub, he sharpened the nose and is flying it! But the shape of rudder and elevator is not quite exactly right. Also flies with a lot more authority than a Cub would! But in one of the loops it did remind me of a bent Cub! Thanks for sharing John! Love it when I get a notice you've posted another video! Lol
Another brilliant video! Thanks John! Reminds me of an old friend of mine who slope soared his vintage Playboy Senior when the wind was light 😄 Excellent camera work.
STUNNING FLIGHT..😍💥Reminded me of my first flights in the late 80's with my Chris foss Middle phase 2 which only had elevator/rudder😁 Loved that Flight Dude.!!👌🤩
Hi John, I am not a fan of long journeys. But I think I will travel to southern England sometime after the Corona spectacle and see these wind conditions. Your videos are amazing. I honestly envy you. Greetings from Germany
I guess the next one would be a Flying Quaker 84" wingspan. The Spook looks like it should have been a glider with that tapered nose. A friend built a Goldberg Zipper with an Enya .35 in it and one day on our favorite hill removed the prop and added a weight to it, when he chucked it off it went up and he flew it for 30 minutes before bringing it in, did the same with a G'berg Jr. Falcon.
