I recommend that you grab the Night Gallery series - good deal and a great series. Just grabbed this set a couple weeks ago. Wish they also had the 80’s Twilight Zone series for cheap too. Universal box set is a great deal - I have some of these early sets on DVD and look pretty good - would like to get blu-ray version of that set but can’t beat that price.
Those classic universal monster movies have a huge importance in film history. I agree that’s an excellent buy. Btw, because I’m relatively new here I don’t know if you’ve covered this before, but I’m interested in your thought process when it comes to blind buys. Are there certain checkboxes that you have to tick to get you to buy a film you haven’t seen before as opposed to streaming it first? Because I recently started to collect this year, it’s something that I often think about while browsing films. Like, I’m very hesitant to blind buy in most cases but sometimes there are films like Blood Simple that just take me there and feel like a sure thing. But I wouldn’t just do that for any film. Does that make sense? Anyhow, thanks for the content you put out! Been enjoying looking at all the things you pick up and get. The obsession with Nicolas Cage is hilarious and fun.
Lol thanks so much! When I first started collecting, I was just grabbing anything, which I try to no longer do. I'll blind buy if I believe I'll enjoy it or has an actor I love that I need for a collection. I figure if I really don't enjoy something, I can trade it in at Bullmoose and use the store credit for something I will enjoy. To me, it's not a waste of money. I hope that makes sense/helps!
The Universal Classic Monsters set is only $46.67 on the Walmart website right now! Not sure if you can price match or exchange, etc. but it's worth a try!
That Universal Monsters set is a fabulous grab! I bought the 2 4K sets plus the 30 on blu ray that has some of them that weren't released on 4K. Great grabs
@Movies&Sue - I enjoy watching your videos daily. I especially find your scavenger hunt videos at physical retailers helpful as I don't get to physical stores often due to having a physical disability. If anyone is inteested in the Universal Classic Monster 30 movie collection that you discussed in the video - Amazon has it for $59.99 as well. That may be easier than finding it at Walmart.
That Universal Monster set. Damn! But I want it on blu-ray! Sue, you have some pull. Perhaps you can talk Universal in releasing that set in blu-ray! 😀
@@MoviesSue Sue, there is an update. This weekend, I went to my local Walmart and yes, I saw that same Universal Monster DVD set that you purchased. However, in walking a little further on that shelf, I noticed another Universal Monster set. And lo and behold, it was the blu-ray set! 😃 ALL of the Universal Monster films on blu-ray!!!! Of course, there was a jump in the price. DVD set cost $59 dollars. Blu-ray set cost $89 dollars! Next time you go to your Walmart, perhaps you will spot that blu-ray set. Close to $90 dollars, that set is too pricey for me at the moment, but hell yes, I am eventually going to get it! ☺
I got 5 of those steelbooks. I already got Leatherface on Blu-ray and didn’t get sinister cuz of a loose disc. When I went around 545-6 they had Hannibal rising
@@tonyfc8809I guess so yeah. Got Lucky. Also If they didn’t have it and it’s supposed to be in stock all you gotta do is ask an employee. I’ve done it plenty of times at Best Buy when they used to sell movies and at target I’ve done it a lot
