I have a lot of family in Yell and this video brought back very happy memories being in Yell with my late father, a born and bred Yell man ,South pond, otterswick. Lots of your stories were gleefully told by my father and his brothers to scare the life out of me which amused them to no end. This still has a spooky feel even when you drive past. Thank you for the memories, miss my father greatly to this day. Shout out to my large family in Shetland. Keep up the good content
I've visited Yell twice and love it, my wife and I are planning a move to Shetland within the next ten years, we'd be happy to find somewhere on Yell to live.
great to hear these stories told by you.. thank you! I visited that house between 1978 and 1980 with my dad and his workmates.. they were building the power station in Lerwick and had a day off.. we were in the house up and down the stairs.. some even were on the roof (it was on at that time) and in and out the rooms on the bright sunny day. Lots of photos were taken by various people at the time too.. only when we got back to the power station one of the locals said we shouldn't have gone there as it's haunted to which we poo pooed.. only not one single photo turned out that was taken there!! I actually only found out what the house was called today!!! hence why I was able to see this video.. amazing! The new owners must be bonkers to buy that.. with all it's history!
Fascinating video and heartbreaking stories. I would love to visit Shetland some day. Thanks for sharing some Windhouse lore. BTW, what’s your name? Suzanne here in Texas! 👋🤠
