Even though the apoxie was fighting you her mods turned out really good! I wonder if wire wrapping would help next time, i see sculptors using that method for grip. She looks great!
I think a wire definitely would have helped! I actually cut some footage of me trying to make it work with wire, but actually attaching the wire was funky and didn't work well. So I just skipped it altogether. 😅 Thank you~! 🥰

There are usually comparable products for cheaper. But the price will probably fluctuate soon for this one if you want to watch for a sale. I certainly would not spend the "full price" of $60 for this dust collector. It's not THAT strong, but it's good for a cheap one.
