Hi Steve, Thanks for your coverage of the 2nd day of The National. I really enjoy the look of TAG slabs but PSA is so far in the lead for usage that it’s insurmountable. Some of the prices are pretty crazy 😜 but it’s a profit center at The National and dealers either make or break their profits for the year based on this show. Congratulations on sending another contest winner to The National. It looks good on you! Have a safe and fun time! Best Wishes, Peter
Great drop, Steve--you'd be a friend of mine for not outing those 52s on the showroom floor--wingmen like you are unfortunately rare... Nice TAG slabs of Daisy--I could see a larger collection emerging...
Great video! I really like Wildcard. I have a couple CJ Stroud autos that are really nice! I bet the 1952 cards were something to see!! Love Hamm's Stich shirt. Looks like a great time except that traffic, ughh.
I'm a dealer...and that's why I won't deal in this card shit. Comp this...comp that....I don't see how as a dealer you can make any money. I"m SO happy I don't deal in cards but in ONE-OF-A-KIND items that are NOT GRADEABLE....NOR CAN BE COMP'D......
I’ve never been to a national. First couple days it looked so cool but the last few videos I’ve seen it’s just way too crowded for my taste. I’ll stick to Dallas . Dallas is a big show it gets kind of crowded Saturday, but I can pretty much still walk around and get to whatever table I want
Can someone explain very slowly and in small words why these redemptions are offered, yet they don’t have them or seemingly even the commitment to get the auto from the athlete/celebrity
@@rickjones3965makes sense, just saying Imo, they should have the autos in hand before offering them. It’s clear they don’t as this situation seems to happen quite often
Card company signs deal with athlete or celebrity. If we’re just talking sticker sheets (that could sustain multiple releases over many years), they might send out the batch of unsigned stickers and ask for X,000 to be signed and sent back in by date Y. Not sure if such contracts come with some small payment even if no sticker is ever signed. Time comes for product to be released. They have the printed card ready, but not the autographed sticker sheets, so they quickly pivot with the redemption card. Sometimes the signer makes good and signs, sometimes not.
6:05 As the show ends later in the weekend, would you go back and make a final offer ? Maybe even get the seller’s details and try again in a few months ? Be politely persistent. :)
I used to like Dinero.....not so much any more. He can leave and I wouldn't be upset. And may the good Lord have mercy on America and NOT let the cackling camel win....
