I'm not defending his sport I'm defending him. Just because someone is better than u at something doesn't mean u should talk bad about that person. Also if u didn't write that comment that might mean u got hacked, you should get it checked.
+Eric Kostiuk Its funny how u talk shit while he kick ur ass on and off the field. I can careless about wiffle ball. But i wont dis him for being so fing good at it. Must be good he made that MLB hitter look silly. I dont care what league ur in, u do that ur doing something right.
Could you of struck that guy out? Wiffle ball, Baseball, softball? LOL no. stfu and sit down. Or get out from behind your computer u are hiding behind and come prove it. Either way you are the ones that need to zip it. Typical kids run their mouths. But have nothing to back it up.
i like the shit talk.... unfortunately there is no comeback to "dude, you won the wiffleball cy young... thats like winning the nobel prize in basketweaving..."
The gobbler show The bat is way heavier, and I bet if one these pro wiffle ball players hit a pro pitchers fast ball as hard they could, it wouldn't even go 100 ft.
Everyone complaining about him playing a "backyard sport" needs to get a life, everyone needs something to do like a hobby. Would u rather have him be obese and be on drugs or play wiffle ball with his friends because it sounds like all of u are just being salty.
Everyone's hating on the wiffle ball pitcher, granted it's a backyard game but it's something he takes seriously and is very good at. Let the man be great at what he's great at. Definitely won't cut it in the pros but he's good for his sport.
They're taking him completely out of his element and expecting him to do well. It's like telling a rifle hunter to go spear fish for the first thing and expect him to get the same results.
Not that impressive. See the design of the ball? Half of it has a solid back, the other half has the oblong perforations. Way less pitcher and skill, more so ball
Why do they introduce the ppl with a D bag look on their face... staring each other down over wiffle ball... and I dgaf if i spelled wiffle wrong, if I did. Wiffler throws REAL BASEBALL. Clocked at 23 mph and gets it smashed back into his teeth and dies.
wow people are weird: the wiffle ball guy was talking smack because that's what you do. It's part of the fun. Don't see anyone commenting on Loney's 'I play in the bigs: you got nothing for me'. of the two, Loney was wrong but Loney is a millionaire, so I'm sure he doesn't care that he can't hit a wiffle ball with a wiffle bat, and only wiffed
MLB baseballs require strength, dexterity and stamina to throw the baseball Wiffle balls weigh less and have holes allowing the ball to do all the work SO how do these apples and oranges compare? IF wiffle ball was so "competitive" he would be making millions, instead he isn't. So obviously, MLB is the true sport here and he's just a weekend warrior throwing a plastic ball that's doing all the work for him.
ESPN takes the time and money to report on...wiffleball? Pardon me?!!! Kind of running out of material, aren't we boys? What's next--an expose on hopscotch?
Why is he so cocky. Goodie for you, you can strike out people in a backyard game. " I was a cy young winner in wiffelball" good job that's like a Guinness record for most shows on a DVR
I believe he hasn't lived to the high ceiling expectations he was given, however that doesn't mean he hasn't had an impact bat during his tenure with the Dodgers. From 2006-2011, he averaged around 130 hits, and a .288 batting average, and 70 RBIs per season. That type of production can't just go unnoticed, along with a .994 career fielding percentage at first base. With his current power, I agree that he hasn't done anything big. As an overall player though, I believe he is doing great,
it doesn't defy physics.. if it's using physics to get from point A to point B.. what it's defying is your understanding of how it should get from point A to Point B.. AKA your EGO.
It's also tougher to hit because a baseball never rises after release. No major league hitter has practiced trying to make contact on a ball going up. It is technically like trying to hit a knuckleball, but 10 times worse.
You might as well make the whiffle pitcher throw a hardball (which wouldn't be fair of course) and then laugh when he gets hit hard. It's just two different games that only look similar. Fun to watch though and Loney showed some real class.
I think it's funny how many people are getting all worked up over the wiffle ball pitcher Honestly I would have trouble trying to hit one of those pitches too, and I'm sure all of the people hating would too
If you notice, every single successful wiffle ball pitcher relies on throwing the ball sidearmed and making the ball rise. It's sort of a loophole in the game that makes it nothing like hitting a real baseball.
I don't get why is the Eiffel ball player so proud of himself like you can throw wiffleball with large changes very easily you only need practice to be a pro but unlike baseball you need to know everything
I used to play HS Varasity when I was a HS player and I couldnt hit a whiffle ball..... all the kids would stare at me bomb a bunch of baseballs then completely wiff at a wiffle ball
yall gettin mad over alittle sports science? that wiffle ball pitcher would probly strike of you out and no doubt thats a major league hitter that ropes on ppl.
I doubt it, it's a totally different pitch. Anyway, you 'might' be right, but first I want to see it happen. Also a 83 mph slider is one hell of a nasty pitch.
yeah he actually came up with a lot of promise, and was a great average hitter in the minors. he hit .380 in 2006 for Las Vegas and I think that led all of baseball that year.
the little bit of humility mr this is my world had to chock up after the hitter used a real bat was so worth it when he faced his opponent on equal terms all in all the kid can pitch like crazy but its only wiffleball
I hate these people that think wiffle ball is just like baseball. Baseball is light years ahead of baseball. People that play wiffle ball are the ones that couldn't make it playing baseball.
