I feel like this isnt fair comparison due to two factors. The distance and the athletes. American football is at much higher lv compared to soccer in USA. US soccer player, while maybe scoring alot, doesnt mean that you have powerful kick but rather good kick control. Compared to European players, that soccer kick was weak.

Because America is the biggest undeveloped soccer market in the world. MLS and the US national team is about to get really good, really soon. You will see. Our soccer talent pool is like less than 5% of what it could be right now and we still manage to qualify for the World Cup and have a Top 15 team in the world. If we can stretch that to even a 20% talent pool, we will be a world power.
they should compared the damaged received by a rugby player and an american football player. But in their normal outfits. Rugby (only protection for the teeth i guess) and American football (helmet, gloves, shoulder protection, knee protection, and all that stuff). I have never play either rugby or american football, but I think rugby is definitely more painful in my opinion.
They did that already, they found American football hits harder, but rugby is capable of breaking ribs, though football causes more damage and has harder hits

I am so sick of these "science" shows treating their viewers like 8 year olds with ADD. Let us see the action shot in ONE CONTINUOUS SHOT! Afterwards, if you want to add those dumb ass replays because you think it gives it an MTV style to it, that I will begrudgingly accept that. But give those of us with an IQ over 80 a chance to just see the damn action ONE TIME straight through.

That's pretty high for anyone. Even for Ibrahimovic. CR7's fastest recorded kick was 80 mph. It was one of the fastest ever. R. Carlos would have faster kicks but my point still remains. 65 mph+ is really fast for any player.

Every English guy will agree that getting whacked across the face by an over-pumped Umbro football on a cold Sunday morning is the worst pain possible. haven't watched this yet but I am guessing the football because if you get hit in the end the force is concentrated in a smaller point of contact meaning there will be more pressure per square inch.
