Mechanics tip... Always take off the BLACK minus cable FIRST, and put the BLACK minus cable back on LAST. Good and easy to listen instructions that are well filmed. I am looking forward to more on this channel. I have been thinking about building my van with Ikea furniture, will you be using more things from everybody's favourite shop? Greets from 🇨🇭.

Aha - Thank you Millinutz, thanks for the tip - Will have that in mind next time, We have some more ideas for IKEA hacks, also in the pipeline we have a DIY sun/rain awning and DIY made compressor fridge coolbox cover - made from a takeaway food bag.

@@scandivanman Hi ScandiVan! I'm really interested in these. I have a similar T5 Multivan here in Finland. I've built my kitchen pod into an Ikea Metod 40x60x80cm cabinet and it fits a 32L Mobicool compressor coolbox

@@juhaMMMMMM Moi Juha, wow I’d love to see that, I have a dometic coolbox, but it’s big and usually in the way, would have been great to mount it in there somehow. Thanks for your comment. Ota rennosti

@@scandivanman Sure, I could send you some pictures by email/instagram/whatsapp. it's a close fit but works well. I'm happy because I don't have the tools or a place where to build furniture cabinets by myself.

Hi this is great and very easy to follow however… You don’t show how you get the plastic trims back on the back of the seat! Ours will no longer fit now - how did you do that please? It would also be useful to see how the driver seat fits and how you can avoid bashing into the handbrake. Thanks!

H Adrian, No they no longer fit unless you want to cut them as the top lip now won't fit over. We left them off and this allowed access to extra storage under the seat accessible from the back - For example we keep our fire extinguisher there now.

What about putting the plastic trim back on at the back of the seat frame?

Hej Matthew, unfortunately the plastic trim part No longer fits (without permanent modification) so we just left it off and also gained additional storage under the seat, that’s where our fire extinguisher lives now. Thanks for watching
