But overall, it's great. The cup holders fold in if you want. My granddaughter loves it and is so excited to have outgrown her car seat. I am constantly reminded that she now has a booster seat, not a car seat. Will probably buy another for a different vehicle.
Love the RL swivel, it clears the handbrake if you remove the plastic cover. Was going to buy the lowering kit, but as we only turn the seat occasionally, I decided to just remove the handbrake cover and replace it when I turn the seat back. Saves money.
Bought one and fitted it today, your video helped a lot I had a few little issues working out how to get the bolts off the swivel but all worked out eventually and chair swivels nicely. Thanks

Update after fitting seat wobbles a little bit due to the movement in the swivel by rusty Lea. Also driving along and the cd started cutting out whenever seat moved when over a bump etc. So electrics probably affected in some way being caught need to check it out or get garage to have a look.
When in the normal front facing position, is there any movement in the chair (slight rocking?) I had a RIB single swivel plate and had slight rocking , but was told this is normal for a RIB?

Hi there, I purchased one of these on the strength of how you can swivel in it from facing forward then to the rear without getting out, visa versa. I actually want it for my disabled partner to load her in from the ramp out of her wheel chair. I fitted one today in our 2012 T5 Caravelle, exactly as in this vid, hard to get it wrong TBH. I cant rotate it in the same manner you are showing. If I pull it forward enough so the arm rests clears the door pillar, I'm so close to the dashboard my knees are squashed against it, with jiggling back a tad, I can turn to be next to the drivers seat, then I can't go any further as my legs hit against the drivers seat. I managed to get it facing backwards by getting out, & turning it from behind, completely defeating the point of buying one. Am I doing something wrong? I know ours is wheelchair adapted, dropped floor but it is only the rear for the ramp. HELP 🙂if you get to see this if not, it's going back..
Hi, I’m sorry this is a problem for you. It is a lot easier to remove yourself from the seat and spin it, and certainly more difficult to do it whilst seated. If you notice in the video, there is a cut between me facing forward and backwards and it’s very likely that I left the chair and sat back in it for the purpose of the video. These aren’t designed to be used for disabled access, they are designed for spinning the seat when parked to create more living space when camping. I would suggest an alternative product designed for the purpose you wish to achieve. Kind regards, Leigh

My query is whether I can simply remove the twin bench and install a single seat base in its place and then put the rusty lee swivel on top of the newly installed single seat base? Any suggestions for what the resulting 'dead space' next to the single seat can be used for?
Fitting a single seat really is that easy! You just have to fill the spaces a double occupied! Centre consoles with cup holders are available, or just keep it clear for a handy walkthrough

I would suggest taking the vehicle with seats to you local engineers/fabricators, and asking them to make brackets. Ready made fitting kits aren't available off the shelf for this seat swap.
Fitted mine but the plastic on the bottom of the seat seems to catch the front nuts when you swivel the seat? Is it a case of just putting extra washers on to raise it a bit

@@keithbass5493 I did exactly that , but It fell off a few times etc, so I just made a wooden panel and covered it in alcantara , then used magnets to hold it in place against the seat base 👍🏼

the 13 ml spanner does not fit the front nuts there is no room to get it in . you have to remove seat trim then do it with 13ml socket. a lot of messing about nothing like the video
