I would suggest investing in a steel rule, 6" and 12" not expensive and available from most tool suppliers, much better for checking and measuring and marking out than the plastic tape your using. Always good to see someone getting stuck in a doing for themselves.

Nice mate. You’ve got a lot on with a new small human to take care of also as well as your missus. One thing tho on these vids is that my OCD goes into overdrive with the different colours of the cameras you’re using. No biggie just me. Keep em coming mate. Doing a top job !

My sportster had the struts and rear fender chopped when I bought it. I found a set of struts someone had cut from their bike and a full fender. Welded it all back stock. Chopped fenders suck if you ride on any kinda wet roads. Looks cool, but not practical if you ride a lot. Not to mention no sissy bars will fit a chopped strut.

I got as nervous watching you cutting the struts as I did when I cut mine lol I also noticed when you were cutting the second one you did the oh s#@t it nearly jumped out of my hands dance 🤣😂 I also remember doing that dance!! Great video am looking forward to seeing more 👍👍

A good 6 inch steel rule or a pair of plastic £5 or metal £10 vernier calipers from Amazon will get you more accurate measures than what you are using. Cudos to you for getting your hands dirty though ;)

Where did you find the online version of the service manual ?? I have found a few sites,just want to make sure im getting a legit one for my Iron 1200. I do see a site called harley manuals dot cc, plus a few other sites. What are you doing with that exhaust lol
