With all the #VanLife stuff happening, I figured it was time to add my own spin to it. The largest hurdle in using a Sport Trac for long term camping is the limited space in the four-foot bed. This video goes over how I tackled that problem.

Currently in the research process of the sport trac. I’m looking at a 03 with 130k miles , one owner , serviced at the dealership all its life. I’ve come to the conclusion that these are some tough workhorses, I’m practically sold.

I’ve been wanting to SportTracLife in mine lol. Have you ever folded the back seats flat? There’s some decent space.

Also I want to see more info on that fold flat seat! Does it help with reclining as well?

Folding the back seats flat won't give me the room I need. As for the front fold flat seat, basically the channel for the top half pin was modified to move further. This may be able to be done for the recline option, but may weaken the seat structure. Modify the seat at your own risk!

i was thinking sleep on an incline from corner to corner might work? like sleeping in a chair. hacking the seat and it didnt look to comfortable didnt look appealing.

Do you know of any mods to to be able to have an infinite adjustable rear window? I hate outs only cracked or all the way open.

I haven't seen anything on that mod. Off the top of my head, I would think the circuit for the "cracked" position could be modified to vary position. I may look into this more, if it's possible I would definitely make a video on it!
