SPOTLIGHT SERIES: HO EMD GP30s (Run 2) 

Finally ! Southern GP30 High Hood ! Thank you for listening to modelers.

I got two of the B&O unit as my first scaletrains engines, and I really couldn’t have been any happier, the sounds are absolutely crisp and beautiful, I did however had to turn the master volume down, a bit loud for my liking, the amount of lights on this are incredible, the three color classification lights are my first experience in models and they look so sweet, really stands out on the locomotives. Hopefully y’all do more Chessie related locos like GP40-2 and GP38-2 in either B&O blue or Chessie. I model the mid 70s-early 80s. As my first scaletrains rivet counters, I will definitely be picking up more financially provided. My hat goes off to the crew for the time and effort into the beautiful models. Thank you scaletrains.

I would love to see a Burlington Northern GP30.

I bought Cotton Belt 754 and 759. Scale Trains did a great job, I love them! Thanks for doing the as delivered configuration. I hope you do a run of SP GP30's in the future.

Just picked up Burlington 952 y'day from my local shop and wow - what a GREAT engine. Detailing is fantastic, looks sharp, the lights are excellent - esp the gyro light and it sounds excellent. You guys just crushed it with this one - well done

These are some incredible and handsome GP30 models and the best that I have ever seen offered in ho scale, the GP30 is a unique earlier GP series locomotive offered from EMD. I find these gp30 models very interesting myself and personally I am most interested in the ATSF, CB&Q and B&O versions of this model and I hope to purchase some of these models in the future- Tom.

The Union Pacific had their airhorns on EMD locomotives mounted over the radiator fans to prevent the horns from freezing up in the winter. That was in the 1950s.

I want one of those museum big blow turbines so freaking bad. Going to revive my channel into the o2RR. Ive got an #844 genesis to put a decoder in, and cant wait to run my first train at some point.

Q,ATSF, and B&O on my pike to go with my previous C&NW and RGW units…. I love them! I could love an FM H16-66 more, so please get one on the drawing boards-!👍

Awesome models once again! Definitly wanting some of those Southern units and hoping for some of those later versions of the Cotton Belt units that roamed the rails during the 70s and early 80s! Also they were renumbered under the General Renumbering Program for the SP during the late 60s. I might have to pick up some B&O units for run through!

Got my Conrail GP30 last week! The lighting isn’t working in DC mode for some reason but everything ran great at the club which is DCC. also wish you guys did 2230 which is on the Indiana Northeastern or 2233 which is a static display at the RR Museum of PA. pretty satisfied overall though, been waiting forever for someone to do a run of these.

Have not heard of kick plates, but have heard of footboards.

Hey, Is there any chance that we will see a new run of SD40-2 for NS and UP in the close future? I think the last NS run was 4 years ago and the last UP nearly 5 years. We need more!

Nice looking units, when is Scale Trains going to do the Reading Railroad? You know the first ones built. BTW you guys call them kickplates, many of us call them footboards. Are you guys going to do any 1st generation stuff? I would love to see a Baldwin centercab, both versions, (DT66-2000 and RT624).

Hey, great to see another video. Still enjoying my BN SD40-2 nearly every day, you guys did such a great job and I will definitely be coming back for more. Is there any way to adjust the brightness of lights on these models, such as the number boards or ground lights?

I want some Conrail GP30’s and some Santa Fe GP30’s.

I think the GP30 is as ugly as a baby-face Baldwin but you guys did an excellent job recreating that ugliness.
