Hey, ScaleTrains, I'll tell ya a little bit of a sad story: When I first discovered model trains, the majority of the ones I wanted that were actually running near my hometown were sold out and too expensive. Like the NS Dash9-40CW for example. By the time I found out you guys made an ho one, it was sold out. This didn't just go for engines, but for all the liveries I wanted and all the train cars and shipping containers I wanted too. They'd either be $300 (extremely expensive for us) or sold out. No matter what scale. Even the heritage units like (if you guys did, it's gone already) the 8104 Lehigh Valley heritage unit. Too expensive or sold out. And the train sets I'm seeing don't have enough of today's rolling stock and/or ANY ge locos, they'd all have the rare emd GP15-1 Engine's, instead of like a GE ES44AC. As for this, can you make some intermodal train sets that include like 6 of the Articulated and single wellcars, plus the appropriate domestic container customers (like NS has JB Hunt, EMP, Hub Group, and Swift) and release a series called "Intermodal Plays Again!" And include the appropriate engines? Like for example the NS one would be NS GE ES44AC 8136, NS SD60E 6965, NS Dash9-40CW 9899, TTX 53' wellcars, JB Hunt, EMP, Hub Group, Schneider, Swift, Amazon, APL, KLLM, and Matson. Can you make intermodal triple engine Domestic Container train sets that are like only $100? And sell on Amazon? Like make this train into an ho scale set ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dTN5c5Ty8U8.htmlsi=qDg3TQYwFOv443CJ
Every once in awhile I pick up a Scaletrains locomotive and notice the locomotive has somewhat jerky erratic movement in either direction until about speed step 3 or 4. What is the best way to solve this?
@PantherLineProductionsofOhio If the engine is fairly new or hasn't been run in a while, give it a few minutes of runtime to let everything dial back in. Also make sure the wheels are clean, so the power-pack is getting adequate charge when underway. -Logan
Hey so I have a question, in the video it says the set will be available in December this year but on the website it says the set will be available in February next year. Which one is the correct availability date? December or February?
Now I can put a face with a name… Mark thank you so very much for all your help with my warranty part.. I have about thirty of these n scale Scaletrains locomotives and I have lost parts and parts have gone bad and your customer service goes a long way with me…. Thank you so much again for all your support and videos on your products…
These are some incredible and handsome GP30 models and the best that I have ever seen offered in ho scale, the GP30 is a unique earlier GP series locomotive offered from EMD. I find these gp30 models very interesting myself and personally I am most interested in the ATSF, CB&Q and B&O versions of this model and I hope to purchase some of these models in the future- Tom.
Keep going scaletrains!!! Fill it with steam locomotives 😂. I don’t have one of your models yet but I want to get one! My friend has a CN military unit and the detail and sound are sooo good!
Great to see them in Bethlehem at the Convention. As said, please bring a DD35 A-B-B !!!! For the moment, I will go with GP30 A-B-B-B or A-B-B-A for the train 😏
That can be a feature for a future video, but the process on N scale is even simpler. Just remove the coupler boxes + shell, then the dummy plug from the locomotive motherboard. Click your decoder of choice into the socket and you're ready to roll. The process is the same for sound or normal decoders, excluding adding the sugar cube speaker into fuel tank cavity. -Logan
Do y’all plan on doing AWVR 777 and 767? If y’all do make sure to do a version of triple 7 after it hit the truck and boxcar that would be really cool for HO scale and N scale!!!
Sadly these won't fit my era, as i'm generally a mid 2010's BNSF/UP modeler. Hopefully the next run of 4-Axles will feature some BNSF and UP rebuilds. (Or maybe even GP60's???)
Great job Scale Trains this is awesome. I was a little disappointed with the N & W not being released at this time. But that’s alright because it will be released at a later date. I’ll survive. I will be preordering the Southern version. Thanks for making this model available to everyone in the N Scale community. Love the products that you as a company produced . Now I’m waiting on a first for Scale-Trains a steam engine in N Scale. Thanks. 😎😎 👍
This is an exciting release! I'm glad to see a non-dynamic version and hope the Soo paint schemes are in the future, along with dynamic-equipped BN units. Will the BN/BNSF GP39E/M rebuilds ever be considered (along with a GP35 😉)?
@@Scaletrains awesome, I am more of an HO scale guy, but that’s great to know. I also love your products. I have a few of them myself and would definitely recommend.
If you do make a modernized C&NW version(as you mentioned) you might consider a rotary beacon for the roof. C&NW GP30's were stored by around 1980 then later reactivated and sent out West until late 1988 when several were sold to the Fox River Valley Railroad and lasted there until the WC buyout.. Also please consider making CGW units for a future run.
Beautiful!!! This also means other 4 axle future releases, I'm so excited for these. Would you please consider a BN white face version of the GP30 in a future release? Thank you so much for all of your hard work ST. Dave B.
Im sad that Scale Trains cancled the Fox Valley CSX ES44AH Law Enforcement loco due to mold loss. My pre order was canceled after almost 2 years of waiting. But I am happy that in ANOTHER few years I will be able to preorder the rivet counter line for the same loco.
