During our last 4-days dog sledding adventure something happened that I have feared... My foot got stuck under the box of my dog sled while I was driving and flying my drone and it was really painful...
In this video I'll talk about what happened and how I dealt with my sprained ankle.

Hi Matti, big luck you didn´t get hurt worse. When I whatched your video some days ago I thought by myself. Man... be careful in what you doing and while movig around in ... who knows ... maybe stressful situations. (and stress takes you nowhere in the bush) And... today it cought me too. Not to bad but painful enought unfortunately. Must be something in the air... Can work and can move but lost some skin so to say. So I whish you all the best and stay healthy...both of you... gonna bring you some coffee soon... maybe, hopefully 😅

Ouch, hope you are all better now! Actually, in my experience an ankle sprain will heal faster if you ice, use compression and elevation, and don’t use it at all for 3 or 4 days, just keep moving it gently without weight bearing to keep the circulation going. Then gradually start using it with it taped up during the day as needed for comfort and support. Take the tape off at night to allow circulation to be unrestricted. I really like the elastic tape for this but depending upon the injury sometimes rigid tape is best. Acupuncture is also very helpful for speeding up healing. Of course you don’t always have the option of taking time off so you just do the best you can!

Same type injury we ca experience on a motorcycle with as we say hard bags, aluminum or hard plastic.. If your foot gets caught underneath it's a god chance it will be broken. All good tips. Glad it wasn't broken. Got new full right knee Tuesday. Therapy is coming along. tough.

Robert Nordic Adventures, Mattias Eriksson he does boat m/c and van trips great guy. SwenWoods camps and a danish fellow jst dtarted following. Take turmeric and cayenne pepper tea! Very anti inflammatory! Bonus if it gets cold it's still hot!

I just carry paper medical tape for everything from bleeding to blisters to splints. It works in place of so many different products and it's much lighter and cheaper. It's not super sticky and it washes off with water which makes it safe for open wounds and for dogs.

The worst thing with this job is IF you get clients who see the dogs as a tool for their adventure. The dogs is just something they’use’ for their own ego-trip. Most of the guests is NOT like that. Most of the guests love the dogs and are really a team with them. That’s just giving energy. :-) /Matti

Best advice Marti baby... is bandage as you did...and a good bloody rest, but, as you point out...running a small business as you do with Stina, avoiding accidents has to be at the top of any list otherwise.....time is money ....hellish i know....but true ...Hope you are back on track and not talking shit... ha ha ha...cheers.
