I really love your channel. You bring us REAL, ACTIONABLE ideas that I have actually used! I made magazine holders out of some old priority mail boxes, as per your video on upcycling storage ideas, but I decided since I had lots of spray paint (and money is super tight this month) that maybe I'd search youtube to see if cardboard is spray-paintable instead of putting a wood vinyl plank on the spine of the box (even though the planks are really cheap, I'm trying really hard to not spend any money I don't have to spend.) You should've seen my face when I realized that I could not only spray paint my cardboard boxes - but one of my favorite you-tubers had a video on doing just that! I'm saving sooooo much money AND getting more organized. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I honestly get giddy if I can do a makeover and spend almost no money!!!! My poor family gets so tired of me asking, "Guess how much I spent!!!??" LOL Now they just sigh and say, "Free". Takes away my fun. 😂

My husband is a professional painter and is battling the rising paint costs as well. Just like wood prices are high due to covid, so is paint. Hopefully when the world gets back to normal and people are all back to work then we will be able to afford things again. Thanks for the video. It was FANTASTIC as usual!! 💙

I haven't spray painted cardboard yet, but love using the Dollar Tree contact paper. I have been covering storage boxes for the bottles and jars I save. The bonus is I save the paper for sewing and quilt projects and other crafts that require a pattern. Makes my frugal heart happy. 😘

I feel so fortunate we have a Mennoite store that has spray paint for $2.00 a can.Have brought a lot of different colors so now will have a use. Thank you for the ideas.

Love the wood look background! Yes, everything is going up. When gas prices go up, the cost for distribution/ supply chain increases and is passed on to the consumer.

Hi there! I painted cardboard boxes that I received shipments in over the "C TimeOut" time to use as storage :) I used acrylic paint and a small roller and a foam brush that I had on hand. Very satisfying and saved a ton of $$$! As always, thank you for all your encouragement and great tips Norreen! (I apologize if I misspelled your name :( )

I've refinished a ton of plain brown cardboard boxes and I found that acrylic paint in Matte finish covers them beautifully! Just a thought if anyone can't really afford the spray paint

You have a beautiful work space the colors are calming which is important to me, the colors you choose calm my mind. I have aqua floor to ceiling drapes in my bedroom with a comforter that has a print pattern that isn’t noisy. Someone recommended buying the plastic magazine holders at the Dollar tree and I landed up using then to hold plastic lids in the kitchen and small platers as well. I saved space & it’s easier to access them and keeps them corralled. I’m quite a few steps behind you but I’m making progress organizing the kitchen. Lastly the pantry/misc storage. All this because of you. Always inspiring.

1. About the paper pulling away, add some staples on the edges so you don’t have to work so hard to secure the background paper. 2. Before spray painting cardboard, brush a primer on. It keeps the cardboard from being too thirsty. 3. I notice the black boxes are gone. I thought they were nice, but I like your cohesive outcome, too

Since the top of the wall with the peeling paper is not visible (because of the header board)in your videos, just put some big binder clips along the top of the wall behind the header board to hold the paper in place. Paper won't fall down and no one will really notice the clips.

Norrine, you are so creative dear lady! I love this! I just painted my craft space and I use a lot of turquoise accents with my black and white furniture. I’m definitely going to spray paint my boxes. I was able to get 20+ of the sturdy decorative boxes at an estate sale for $1 each, they’re mostly blues, but now I’m going to do this and make them perfect. Thanks for sharing.

I have been tackling it a little at a time and your tips for organizing within the containers, priceless! I don’t like to look for or keep up with lids, so when I first moved in my room several years ago I bought the containers with flip lids. So you can close or leave them open. I have started binge watching your channel 😬

Yes, everything looks so 'fresh' very eye appealing. It's good to know about cardboard boxes can be sprayed, Also, yes on the spray paint going up, I got many spray paints on Amazon one can, purchased Aug 28, 2020. for 3.96, 12 oz, Satin French Blue, is now 15.91 they are all out of my price range now,

In this day and age of wearing masks - I didn’t notice you wearing a mask while you were spraying the boxes - I had done some paint spraying a month ago - found I had to wear a mask because I could feel a slight difficulty in breathing. Now that I see the benefits of wearing a mask to do different tasks - I reach for a mask 😍 . Love your idea of having a color or pattern unity in the containers on your shelf - it is restful to the eyes - That’s what my shelves need - Thank you 💖🦋🌵
