Spraying Corn with a Helicopter In this RU-vid video I am out in a field of corn near Eaton Ohio as a Crop Duster Helicopter applies fungicide on the corn.
We had two different helicopter companies spray potatoes here in NJ. This was back in the 70’s. It was amazing to watch them and see how close they would come to he trees at the end of the field.
Great video Mike. Thanks for the helicopter footage of putting on fungicide. I think it can be pronounced both ways. Have a great week Mike. Keep the videos coming. I really enjoy watching.
Well you've done it again Mike this another thing I didn't know existed. I've seen airplanes spray fields but never even heard of a helicopter doing it. THANKS MIKE 👍👍👍👍
I've never seen a helicopter spray I've seen the airplanes before. I think I e seen or heard the plane about everyday this week in my neighborhood I put fungicide on my wheat last year and I was in the barnyard working when they sprayed that pretty cool to see them that close!
Cool video! That pilot could never take his mind or his eyes off those power lines, definitely a white-knuckle ride! They were spraying for fungus, not funjus ,so i'm gonna stick with calling the product funG-i-cide.
I wondered that too, he said it holds 40 gallons & as fast as the helicopter sprays, I bet he has fills up a often. I also tried to figure out how long it took to refill. How many gallons do planes carry? Anyone know?
each frame has a maximum loading weight so more load less fuel its a trade off more load more fuel needed for spray time. one big calculation and maths. time over load and max all up weight.
@@raypitts4880 so, first they figure out how much product they need for the acres they’re spraying each trip, then adjust the fuel amounts to equal max weight allowance?
I was in Olmsted County Minnesota last weekend and there was a helicopter spraying 2ft tall soy beans next to my son's backyard. Don't know what they were spraying, but the drift did sting my eyes. I was able to get a video with my phone. Never saw crop spraying done with a helio before. Around my AO it's always with planes.
why dont they carry more product do you know the all up weight of a huey and the weight of this little guy pilots know their frame max weight stay down the pub and leave flyers to what they know. why do things have to be more.
Are you sure that's a 40 gallon product tank or 400? Because a 40 gallon tank is not gonna cover a lot of acres per fill. Especially putting down 10gallon/acer
You should play the music Of apocalypse now. That what it is for the neibourhoude. This managing Of fugicide is forbiden in France population are concern with the loose molécules spray in the air and carried by the wind to the populations. This poor guy on the Trailer will not live to long. What do you think ?
