This is also a good way to stretch the butter too. Margarine is one molecule away from plastic.

Yes I agree I stopped using margarine over a year ago when I switched to Organic and Non-GMO foods I started using Smart Balance Non-GMO buttery spread I don’t see molecules in the ingredients and it says it’s 64% vegetable oil so I hope it’s still good for me idk still learning if everyone knows let me know Tia ..
@vancouvervixen4253
@vancouvervixen4253 3 года назад
@@winterfoxx3181 I’m glad you’re trying to improve the quality of your diet. However I’m sorry to tell you that anything labeled “buttery” that is not actual butter is mostly vegetable oils ( a quick google of the product you mentioned confirms this)… and when they say “vegetable oil”, it is almost always canola or soy oil because it is super cheap. My advice - as a nurse and generally well read person - is to just eat the real thing. Real butter, grass fed, organic, is practically a super food. Forget the spreads and food “products”. If you want a healthy spread try what she has suggested in this video.

I’ve been thinking I should do this as in winter (mild winters in Australia) I only take the chill off rather than heat my house. That means room temp butter is rock hard and needs to be softened before each use. I’d prefer not to use the microwave that much, and I tend to overdo it and melt it a bit most times and after melting and solidifying over and over I end up with buttermilk in the bottom of the container lol. Oops.

Grew up on margarine as a healthy alternative and HEAPED butter on in restaurants; was happy we decided butter was better! Check "fresh" chicken, turkey, and pork for injected ingredients and brines; also pre-formed, frozen hamburger patties. As you work on the hydrogenated fats, begin looking for high fructose corn syrup which in the states is now allowed to be labeled as sugar or sweetener. Modified corn starch is another and MSG is sneeking back into more food (and BEVERAGES) again. - Next thing you know darned near everything will be from scratch!

I buy spreadable real butter at Aldi and Walmart. Ingredients butter and olive oil only or I would not buy it. I use avocado oil and olive oil to cook with and real butter. No crisco period . Bruce said not to use it. I use canola oil to bake cakes which is not a lot. Limit sweets. I don’t fry food. only bake food. Only time I fry is for orange chicken once in a great, great while and don’t use much oil but not crisco. and breaded beer batter fish from Goodman’s. I have to keep cholesterol down so I don’t get another pill to take along with fibromyalgia meds. Have a blessed day. I’m glad Howie is ok whew! 😥 Love ya guys.❤️

By the way I had my heart cath yesterday and my carotid s in my neck or not blocked but they are blocked in the brain you know like for me above the above it for the ear up where you could find it. My cardiologist asked my opinion and I told him they were blocked and where. He told me I was right. I'm starting a new medication today to try and desolve the blockage as it is in a difficult place to do surgery on. I feel God is looking out for me. It was nice to know that you and everyone was praying for me. God bless you and everyone. 😊

does this change the shelf-life of the butter? I usually leave mine plain butter on the counter but it's often hard as my house is not real warm but sometimes it gets moldy after a week or two. fun story: I grew up on margerine and sugar and I could never tolerate the sun. I would burn, no matter how much 'spf' I smeared on my skin. I thought it was because I was 'too blonde, too pale'. So, eight years ago, when my mum died, I cleared up her stuff and found the list of pills she had been taking for more than a decade and (because I've got a master's degree in History of Medicine) tried to find out what these pills were. Found out that statins were deadly (disclaimer: my opinion - not a doctor), that cholesterol had been falsely vilified for the past fifty years and that waddayaknow, my mum had - apart from dementia, thank God - every 'side effect'. Most of the other pills were to combat the 'side effects', and the other pill were to combat the side effects of the pills that combatted the side effects. Anyway, around this time I stumble over Weston A. Price and chuck out veggie oils, margerine, sugar, etc. To my surprise, after a few years, my skin no longer burns in the sun. I even get a tan! Haven't put any of that 'sunscream' crap on my skin neither.

I had a dream about you, this morning when I laid back down. I walked up a snowy hill ( was proud I made it). And sat on a tree stump next to a 2 floor wood house. I heard a car start and looked at the house. You were there taking to a camera, there was a big screen monitor to your left showing you on camera. You said “ I have a surprise guest for you guys coming up later” lol. Then you walked away and noticed me. Came out and said hello. I told you that I had walked up the hill and had no idea we live so close together lol you were so cute you were wearing like a 50 style Minnie mouse costume. ( maybe it was freaky Friday). I had A crystal in one hand and my copper quartz in another. So scary people came around the corner and kept trying to grab my crystals. After I yelled at them they left and you were just laughing. And then I woke up! Soon when I went to eat breakfast I thought about this video.
