The engine in that old truck sounds really good. I used to spread a lot of manure when I was young, except I did it with a Farmall H and a tow behind spreader about the size of a hay wagon. You can get a lot more on your truck. All the manure I spread came from the barn via the auto gutter cleaner. Twice a day there would be a load when the cows were in for milking and food in the evening then again the next afternoon.
I always disliked that job back in the day (60 years ago)when my dad had the diary farm. We had the old pull behind the tractor spreader and an old loader with only up and gravity down hyd. No curl hyd. When it got to bad we would hire a custom outfit with spreader trucks. They could do in one day what would take us on our own several months. Thanks for the memories. I worked for a feedlot in 03-04 that had a spreader truck. Same brand as yours but longer and a lil taller is was a triple beater. I loved it for long hauls, but it was really sucked spreading on rough/ frozen ground.

One year me and my brother found a dead possum froze stiff.we threw it in the horse manure pile.when dad loaded the manure spreader,we watched that possum come flying out of the spreader.pretty cool.fun times on the farm.lol
You know it's a shame that old 9500 is probably a better truck then them topkicks only downfall was all that noise and high-pitched squealing and whining that came from that Old Detroit
