#camino #caminoingles #packing I’m off on Sunday - the Camino Inglés awaits ! As a first a first time pilgrim, but long time Backpacker, I’ve packed what I think I’ll need - but have I got it right?
Many thanks, hope it helps. It was my first Camino, but I've been Backpacking since I was about 20 - that's a very long time ago!!! I'm working on the Camino footage now . Now THAT is an area that I could use some hints with!!
Hi Mario. 7,1kg without water. Worked well for me, very little I didn't use - just my rain gear . I was incredibly fortunate weather wise, NOT normal on the Inglès! Buen Camino!!
Not a brand I've tried. Good that you found something that works for you! I didn't use a map, nor any type of app. Both Camino's I've walked were so well marked it simply wasn't necessary
A vote for Bridgedale socks from me too! I've worn their Trekker socks on a previous Camino Frances, the Pennine Way and various other walks in the Yorkshire and Derbyshire Dales. There is loads of wear still in them.
Hi Peter! Thank you for this video. Very informative and quite pleasant to watch 🙂 Iam going on the Portguese from Lissabon to Santiago in the second half of April this year. Still thinking about a few things though. For example: I get cold quite easy at night. I looked at the Cocoon you have too, but Iam not sure if this is warm enough for me in the public albergues. What was your experience with the Cocoon? Was it enough? Also still debating if I bring Shorts. So far I was just planning in bringing one pair of zip-trousers for hiking and one pair of pants for evenings and sleeping (if necessary). Seeing your video Iam thinking about packing two long zipp-offs for hiking instead of shorts. Maybe. 😂 Still have to figure that one out. All the best and buen camino 😊
Glad you enjoyed. If you're a 'cold sleeper', the cocoon is not for you - definitely take a sleeping bag. You can't count on getting blankets in all the albergues. Shorts - great if it's warm enough, but if not.... . April can be cool in the mornings, potentially even frost! I hope to do the Portuguese myself in a year or two. Bom Caminho!
