The island looks great! When moving our rugs I stick a small line of painters tape on the floor by the rug’s edge, and then it’s so easy to line it right back up.

The island looks amazing!!!! Just an idea that I use for my area rug. I put blue painters tape on the four corners of the floor so I know where it goes back every time and it saves from having to move the couch several times.

The island looks very nice. I love the color. I tend to go for shades of blue. I ordered a dusting bundle from ecloth. I have had their cleaning bundle of cloths for a couple of years now. I love them. They do an awesome job and hold up great.

LOVE how the island turned out, such a fresh look! I have been using the fabric shower liners for years too, they are awesome & I hate the way plastic ones feel when you accidentally rub against them in the shower 😂 I bought the red slippers just before Christmas, loved seeing you in yours ❤️ My daughter has had a turquoise pair for several years that she hasn't worn in forever, so I took those over as well! Try marking where the rug goes with painting tape just under the edge of the rug. Then you can put it back in just the right spot.

I had painters paint my living room Benjamin Moores Wedgewood grey. I also had them paint my island the same color. On the island, it looks more grey then blue but I love it! Your island looks great too!

I found the e-cloth starter set and other e-cloths on Zulilly as a ridiculously low price. It finally warmed up to mid 40s today in Minnesota and used the window cloths on my front storm door that was so disgusting. What a game changer!! Just water and it was amazing how clean they got and no streaks! It is west facing door so I work very hard to get rid of those streaks or it drives me nuts. Now if it would just warm up enough to melt the snow around the house so I can do the rest of the Windows! I also have high ceilings and have tried a duster with a lomg handle with the disposable dusters and it does an ok job but now I may have to get one for my walls, ceilings and my ceiling fans! By the way, your island looks beautiful..you are braver than me in going for the change in color!!

*Possible Rug Solution* : Maybe you could take some painter's tape (if you're worried abt. it affecting your paint, just stick it off & on your hand a few times until it's less sticky) and then line the outer edge of the tape to both sides of the rug onto your baseboard. Then, after you're done sweeping & vacuuming, just gently peel off the tape after your rug is lined up... Just an idea. :) Also, the kitchen island looks *LOVELY* ! Have a fabulous week!

Love your blue/gray island! After 9 years of saving, we finally did a "reface" of our kitchen last month and ended up choosing a blue/gray ("Fjord") for our lower cabinets and white ("Arctic") for our upper. It's amazing how those colors lighten and brighten a room.

Everything looks great! I have cloth shower liners and I love them! They are so easy just to throw them in the washer and your done. It sure has saved me a lot of money not having to replace the plastic ones. The island looks good! Have a wonderful week!

You should put a really small pencil mark on your baseboard for where the rug belongs the next time you move out the sectional just before you move the rug. Just mark a tiny mark on both sides. The couch covers it, and it's your forever home, and you could just touch up paint the one spot if you ever move for savy. 😂 Just a thought. Happy Monday.

Thanks for the discount code for eCloth. I’ve been looking for a duster to reach up high. I’m in my 70’s and my children have forbidden me to climb anymore and the other duster will make cleaning my baseboards a breeze. Lol. I’m playing catch up on videos and this was great! I just order led the sprayer mop with an extra mop head. I was too late for your discount code but I didn’t think the price was bad at all and I’m going to make myself be a better mopper! We have 2 giant dogs that are always bringing in the back yard and kids that always want to be on the floor so I love that it’s just water. I also love that you aren’t a good duster either! My fans are always gross so I try not to turn them off 😂. I at least vacuum daily! I’m obsessed with the island and furniture color! Everything looks beautiful!

Next time you move the rug, put painter’s tape down to mark where the corners go. That way you can put it right back where it was.

There is another lovely lady I subscribe to (also with a wonderful family)...Brianna K..and she does phenomenal cleaning routines. Now she's not the only one :) I/we use Swiffer dusters and have generally been satisfied with them..but those e-cloths you got look very enticing !! So delighted I found your channel!!

Great video! Just a thought about the living room rug placement...what if you put a piece of painters tape under at least two of the corners on the floor and then one on the bottom of the rug and then you can just line up the two pieces of tape when you move the rug and need to find that perfect spot? Maybe that would make it a little less of a hassle ;)

Sunbeam bread, haven't seen that since I moved to TX, 6 years ago. I also take my plastic qt & gal bags out of the boxes. Wish I could do it with my other rolls, just nowhere to put them. Mary
