I discovered your vlog about a week ago and have been watching them out of order, of course. Your hair looks beautiful! It really shows off your pretty features. I was a natural blond and didn't colour my hair until I was 42 and yes, thought it was a stranger in the mirror until I got used to it, lol. I've enjoyed all your vlogs so far and really love your yarn colour choices. All the best!
At the beginning of the podcast, I heard you, I was like "Who's that girl who talks in the same cute way as Chelsea?" 😂 and then I had to pause the video and went an hour later watching this end; I noticed that I got used to your new hair and it felt completely like you ! All this to say that I'm convinced you'll get used it very quickly 😊 Love your podcasts, the way you share with transparency your thoughts about your acquisitions, the mistakes you may make in your wips, the choices of colours you do... Really inspiring ! Thank you and take care !
Your hair color looks great. This is my first time watching your podcast, so I’ve never seen you with lighter hair. I guess I’ll go back to a previous episode and see the difference in hair color. Love your knits! Subscribing to your channel! 😊
this is my first ever video of yours and I just have to say I LOVE your hair!!! Its such a beautiful color and suits you so well! Also love your yarn colour pallete, all the greens have my heart!
Chelsea, Your hair looks great! As a greying older lady, I can say this! I wish my salt and pepper hair would look as flowing as yours, but it is a wire-y mess most days...and a hot iron does help, but I'd rather be knitting! ; ] Thank you for giving a reference for the Tubular CO. I would like to use it in making a Vee-Back Tee. Your brief description has me hoping that I can do it and not just work around in my favorite cable CO. Happy Stitching! Just pretty yarns!
Hair is only hair. The dark color looks much better than the blah dishwater blonde you were before. The bangs are nicer and the brown will fade rapidly. You hairstylist did an e cell ent job. Trust!
You have created a lovely suggestion to lengthen the ruffle. When I looked up the pattern on Ravelry the ruffles are adorable. Can’t wait. It will improve the idea. Thanks for your podcast. And your hair is beautiful.
Your hair is really pretty that color - you just need to settle in to it since you already like it! As always your yarn choices and your knitting is awesome and your green sweater turned out fabulous!! I don't know how you have such will power working in a yarn shop! I'd be totally broke! You've inspired me to begin looking for spring knits and I'm excited to try a tee for the first time! hugs from Texas!!
OH MY GOD Marlene is going to be at Flock? I can't remember if I knew had heard that in her podcast but that's so exciting! So many podcasters will be there it'll be surreal XD I got to go to Tea Cozy recently and their sale section was overflowing! So awesome :)
That Paisley Knits yarn is so gorgeous you have to use it for something you'll wear all the time. I'm thinking a striped T-shirt combine the hand dyed with a more solid or several solid shades. Frankie Gray Fibers has a ton of bright colors that would look amazing with that yarn. The Shima Tee, or Lily Kate France's A Taste of Stripes. I've been collecting stripes patterns for spring/summer Tees, there are a lot of them to choose from. Andrea Mowry has a beautiful pattern called the Illuminate, that would be gorgeous!
Your hair looks great! It was a bit of a shock when you first popped up on my screen but it looks great on you! I'm absolutely obsesssssssed with your port sweater! The color is perfection (but then I'm always a sucker for all the earthy greens). It looked great against your blonde but also looks awesome with this new you!!
I just found your channel but I think the dark hair definitely suits you! I'm about to start my first cable project (a headband) and the socks you did look so good so I'm even more excited to cast on :)
The brunette Chelsea edition looks great! Dark hair looks beautiful on you! Both of your finished objects are so pretty! Great work on first cable project - that’s such an accomplishment! Yes that sewrella newsprint yarn is stunning! I can’t wait to see the finished sweater in that yarn!
I love the hair! I actually went dark last year but I'm dark naturally. Was blonde for 20 years, but I got tired of the upkeep and sometimes it looked pretty, others it yellowed.. It definitely is new vibe. She probably did warm it up because if they tone it down too much it come out greenish. Love your projects. I feel the same way about summer knitting! I've also casted on everything and I love it! - Kimberly
I am obsesseddddd with your new hair color! 😻also omgggg your Louvre sweater looks AMAZING! I need to knit another one 😻 I'm excited to see how your summer soufleé works up because it's on my spring/summer knits list😆and omggg yesss to the Regia tweed! I have a darker color in that yarn and I can't wait to knit up socks with it😻
Thank you soooo much! 💘 your Louvre was a huge reason I had to start mine ASAP 😆 can't wait to see what yarn you use for a Summer Souffle! and finally YAY--all the matching Regia tweed socks! 💕
This sweater you’re wearing is just gorgeous! And it looks so great on you! One more thing: girl! You’re crazy! Your hair looks amazing! It gives you a more sophisticated look and makes your eyes pop! You’re going get used to it after all the compliments you’ll get. I promise.
I’ve already gotten so used to the new hair because it suits you so well! 🫶🏻 the fringe will cooperate once you first style it yourself I’m sure! all of your knits will look so great with it, don’t even worry for a moment! now we gotta adjust our adventure emojis 👩🏻🏔️🧶👱🏼♀️☕️ for the summer, I can’t wait for it! I’m so happy you’re enjoying your swap yarn and I can totally see the sweater quantity be a stunning cardigan! I’m so happy with mine!! currently working on my first rows in the april cardigan which I’m making with it ☺️
Loveee the hair and loveee all your yarn choices!! I can relate with you on the wearing more neutrals but always knitting with more colorful yarns because it’s so fun lol 😅💕
Hi the sweater you are wearing is stretching at the neck with the weight of the sweater but if you put elastic in the base of the neck rib it will lift the rib up into the right place and make a higher neck.
I absolutely adore the yarn you got from Pasley knits and am very invested in what you make with it! Also +1 - you got me into Olivia and Oliver fibers too and I went a littttttle crazy during her Warm Neutrals preorder!
I LOVE the look with your new hair! Every time you mentioned some colour might've looked better with the blond hair, I was shaking my head, I'm sure they'll look gorgeous with the brown hair as well. Plus, the color makes your eyes come out super nicely. I had to laugh when you said you were taking a break from green but hadn't talked about our micro KAL yet. You can change your hair color, but you can never take the green-love out of Chelsea haha. Can't wait to see your projects with all of those beautiful new yarns, I love the bright pops of color in the Pasley Knits yarns!
Chelsea your hair looks very nice. It makes your eye’s really pop. The color will lighten up because you had the blonde foils so some of the color fades. So you’re from MN? Where? I’m from New Prague but now I live in Shakopee. Why did you move to Seattle? What is the yarn shop where you work called? How long have you been knitting? You are a beautiful knitter and a beautiful person. You really make me smile. You’re such a delight to watch. Thank you for entertaining me.
I have been eyeing that Semper slip-over for a while and I was so inspired by you that I just ordered the Sandnes yarn combo in their bright green (Jelly Bean green) colourway! BTW, totally agree with you on the alpaca thing. I have been disappointed twice now, the yarn feels so soft on the skein but it’s itchy when knit up.
OOOHHH man, okay, I'm definitely going to be knitting up another slipover in Jelly Bean Green--EXCELLENT choice! So sorry you struggle with alpaca as much as I do, I wish my skin wasn't so sensitive to it 😅
I have so much fun watching you checking your Emaging on camera 😂and I was almost certain you will say something about again every time you looked at the camera. It reminded me of when babies see themselves on the mirror for the first time. Any way the point is your hair looks gorgeous and it goes very well with your complexion.
ooouuu I love your cumulus blouse! I recently made one and its like my favourite thing now :) also your hair looks great and definitely suits all the yarn
I actually really love your new hair color😍 you look so similar to Dakota Johnson now - I already had that thought a while ago, but the new hair made it really obvious :) When you held up the cool green suri to your face, it really made your eyes pop and the color looks incredible with the cool brown hair! Your complexion and eye color is very similar to my own and you may have inspired me to dye my hair darker as well☺️ It suits you very well!
I made one for my little and I only picked up the top bump not the bottom and that made the ruffle a lot looser.... basically I only picked up half the stitches...
I really like your hair color, your eyes are more dramatic as a brunette, and your hair is a great texture, shiny and silky. Who could ask for more? I've always been a brunette, and I'm having to color my hair now to stay brunette, no desire whatsoever to go gray. I've been looking up the patterns and yarns as you're talking, I love all the new ideas and products. I can't knit everything I see, but I want to. How about a tour of the yarn shop you work in? I'd like to see around Seattle.
hey dakota - nice video. love the new color, but then, i loved your blonde too. and really love to see how far you are progressing with this new passion in your life! now then, how's that book coming?
Love the port sweater, but you definitely should have knit a smaller size. Also, if you fold over the collar and it stitch down, you could add elastic to bring it closer to your neck which would help raise your sleeves a bit too. I like the new hair color but maybe you'd like it more if you added some highlights too. ❤
I knit the smallest size, LOL! I definitely could have made some accommodations but I'm still happy with the finished product so I'm not too worried about it!
Your hair will lighten some since you just had it done. Especially with the blonde underneath. It will fade beautifully to. ❤ I’m a former hairdresser. It looses beautiful!
You look so much like Dakota Jhonson now! 😦 I don't actually think that's a dirty blonde (it doesn't look blonde at all from the video, but that could just be the camera and my laptop screen - in any case, you look gorgeous with brown hair!), but it goes so well with the green 😍 another color that goes super well with brown is purple, so maybe a lilac top for the summer should be on your to knit list 🤔 as for what to do with the rainbow yarn, if you're so into vests over dresses at the moment, why not a vest as well? It might be too many vests to be knitting at the same time, but I just think a rainbow vest would look amazing with a plain dress (as in, a dress with no pattern, just a solid color). The yarn would look amazing with a cream mohair!
The color would definitely be considered dark blonde rather than dirty blonde but I would ACTUALLY call it a light to MEDIUM (!!!) auburn brown, not dark blonde as the color is called 😆 which is such a huge change for me for sure. Thank you so much for all the wonderful ideas, definitely getting the wheels turning! ❤❤❤
Leave your hair alone. The more you fixate on it the more you think about it. Other people don’t notice you as much as you may think. Not trying to be mean. Just trying to offer a “reality check”.
