Flock fiber festival was an event in Seattle Washington August 10th-11th 2024, hosted by Jess from La Mecerie.
This was my second yarn festival, and also my second attending with my friend Alaine.
I couldn't believe how huge Flock was, and how many people were there! It was absolutely incredible getting to meet so many like-minded people.
The event itself was incredibly well organized, and left me feeling inspired, and proud to be part of such a wonderful community and craft.
In this video we also explore parts of Seattle, and it was both of ours first time there!

Hi, I am a new viewer enticed by the subject of your podcast. I was one of the many people who helped set up Flock, so I’m especially glad you had a great time! I really enjoyed watching your video overview of the weekend - you got some really pretty footage of the waterfront. I am looking forward to watching more of your shows now that I found you! By the way to 221B Baker Street is where Sherlock Holmes lived 😊 Not sure of the Seattle connection though.

@@LoriNeu19 thank you so much!! I cannot get over how well organized Flock was. It was just an absolutely incredible experience and thank you for your work in helping to make that happen! I’m glad you loved the video as well :) maybe the 221 B Baker Street is just Seattle colors inspired and not necessarily the name? I also could have those details wrong, there was a lot of information to digest this weekend 😀

I just found out about Flock from stumbling across someone else's vlogs. And now I'm watching a ton of Flock vlogs :) Looks like so much fun to be around so many other fiber artists. I think I'm gonna check out the Portland Yarn Crawl in March.

i've been having flock fomo and am looking through festival vlogs and this one is SO good. it was also really nice to see everything you did around seattle outside of flock!!

@@callingfororpheus aw thank you! I hope that the vlogs are helping to feel like you were there, and not adding to the fomo! If you’re able to go next year I highly highly recommend!!! While I don’t have a lot of yarn festival experience I feel like Flock was so incredibly thought out and well run.
