Spring? Is so right!! Its so crazy and it feels like its forever grey. I’m originally from the NW and cloudy and grey never used to bother me but now after living here for years I’m kind of ready for the sun!! I’m just knitting winter sweaters still, I should probably knit some summer tees since it will eventually get warm 😂. I’m casting on a misurina too. My misurina is inspired by Tracie for sure. Its so pretty. I picked out yarn to kind of look like hers. I loved the color shifting flowers
Love that I found your podcast. You are inspiring me to knit more shawls. I put everything in a notebook too. Thank you for sharing your organizing ideas.
I am soooo tempted to declare 2024 a year of shawls.......but I always break my oaths when it comes to knitting😉 However, it is very practical for Southern California! xoxo
I have knitted four shawls and loved the process of knitting them, and learned from them. I need to explore how to work them into my wardrobe more often.
Hi Andrea! Recently came across your RU-vid channel and now I am watching from the beginning! I was curious about Posh Yarn but discovered the have retired the business. I am grateful for the tip about the Baggu bags, they look perfect! And one more thing…is the painting on the wall your work? I love your color sense and would like to know if you have a website for your artwork. Looking forward to viewing all the rest of your podcasts! Karen in Maine
Hiya! So happy to find your channel today. Your knits are so inspiring. I loved the segment about the notebook. Very interesting! I have a similar stuffed notebook for everyday life. I’m sorry for your loss and the yarn from Posh sounds beautiful 😍
Hello! Oh my notebook is a bit overstuffed currently😊 Thanks for the lovely compliments and I hope you continue to enjoy! I do mention Posh giveaway in the next episode coming out tomorrow🎉
So nice to meet you Andrea. I love knitting and love the knitting you share. Just ordered the honors shawl you so beautifully knit in oatmeal. Thank you for your RU-vids ✨🙏✨
Hello 👋 I have just found your podcast and I really enjoyed your calming nature, I always knit Toe Up Socks 🧦 and if I decide to do a pattern it’s usually around the Cuff and I just follow the pattern as is but I don’t often do Lace so I can see where you would flip the chart. The low volume Colours for the Andrea Mowry Shawl are just Beautiful 😍 and what a Lovely Idea of Sharing your Mothers yarn. I have Subscribed and I’ll be watching previous podcast to catch up while I knit 🧶 Sleeves on a Cardigan. ❤
Hi! Thanks so much for your kind words, it means a lot😊 Oh sleeves……perfect opportunity to watch podcasts! Toe up all the way although I must admit there are many more patterns written cuff down, especially from Summer Lee, whose designs I love! 💖
Thank you for this podcast. I finished knitting a sock while listening to your podcast. And I adore projects bags that I am sewing. I have already a lot but I go on sewing more. Have a good day!
Hi, you make beautiful knits, i also like neutral colours, so pleasing to the eye. I use a daily habit tracker, every month a page, so just a small box for every day but its nice for an overview, what project got some „love“ at what day, because every project is a column (also good for keeping track of watering plants)
Just found you and have enjoyed your podcasts so much 🙏very relaxing and inspiring all at once and such a great idea about the Posh Yarn … it looks so good and I’m sure there are many of us that would love to try it … looking forward to hearing how you will share it … I would be prepared to buy some 💃🧶❣️🙏🙏🙏
I’ve sewn many project bags; I use them for socks or keeping my notions/tools organized but I have found that I prefer large fabric baskets for my sweater projects. They stand up on their own. It’s easier to access my project and I can gently place my sweater in the basket without stuffing it or crushing it into a zipper pouch. I will use a large fabric pouch to transport my project when I’m traveling or at appointments when I can just pull the sleeve out and work on that leaving the rest of the sweater inside the pouch; turning the pouch as I knit the sleeve. I love your plotulopi shawl; beautiful.
I’m quite a novice sewist(?), but love the idea of learning to make project bags! I feel like I haven’t quite landed the “perfect” bag for me, and completely get that basket shape is portable and gentle! Thanks for this!
While I’m obsessed with Tracie’s knit I would go for low contrast. I actually did the same thing when I saw hers but I think more for my style I’m also going to go low contrast in the dusty pink fam!
Not so sure how much “faster” two-at-a-time socks are, but I do love it, won’t ever go back and so glad you persevered. Friendship and collaboration is where it is at❤❤
Looking forward to seeing your knitting plans come to life! I’m also a big fan of the DRK Everyday socks and have been thinking about combining other sock patterns with it-thank you for the inspo! I love Baggu too!!! I have a lot of their mini tote bags that I’ll put projects in ☺️💕
I am so happy to have discovered your podcast. Your style, pace and energy level is so pleasing. I am very much interested in trying the nutiden yarn, for that shawl you did in Lodi. Thank you for the inspiration and yarn joy! And trying Posh? I'd be very interested to experiment with it.
Hi, I love your knits and your channel. I wanted to ask how many skeins/hanks of the plutolopi did you use for the shawl…I’m in love with it but your Ravelry page does not mention it… thank you 🤗
Oooof, I need to get better at archiving on Ravelry! I think I used 3 plates, held double. That said, I think it would be gorgeous in a single strand of plutolopi, which is quite sturdy! The pattern suggest a quantity in weight which is probably a good guide! It gets softer and softer each time I wear it! Glad to be connected here!🌸
