4 days away and we will be back in the middle of nowhere searching for muskies.

Yup, this trip was awesome. Lost that big one which stull hurts but there are more where that fish came from.

Yeah they were definitely a pleasant surprise. We caught more smallies on this trip then all the others combined. Must of hit it just right.

Yeah,100% not her fault. Arguably my biggest pike ever. Landing that fish would of been a miracle. It was foul hooked just behind the head so it was nearly impossible to turn the head into the net. Then it wrapped around the trolling motor. If I was smart enough I would of hit the release on the reel and I might have been able to work it under the motor.

Absolutely love the Chip! Yes we have found that flourecents are better on cloudy days. But let the fish tell you what they want. We are slowly moving through structure and spots using the trolling motor.

What you should do is use silver or chrome lures on bright sunny days and copper, gold or fluorescent lures on dark cloudy days.

This lake system doesn't have big pike in any numbers worth targeting. It's absolutely loaded with smaller fish and that's exactly why we go to this lake every year as the first trip.
