As for roe, rut is in the summer (july and august) in Hungary (neighbouring country to Romania- the guide in the video is also Hungarian as many people living in Transilvany, which region was formerly part of the Hungarian Kingdom, funfact over-) the season for roe bucks is from 15 apr-30 sept. Ideally before rut you would select the weak, and killer (spike) males, so they wont pass their genes, and leave the best ones after the rut.

Hi Peter! The maximum weight of the roebuck goes around 35 kg (77 lbs). There's no an age limit but nobody's interested in shooting cubs. In Romania the female hunt is allowed between september 1st and december - february 15 th. For the male the hunt is allowed between May st and October 15 th. The breeding season is between july and october (sometimes november). The cubs are born next year in june - july. As you see the female is fully protected. Actually I havem't seen too many hunters intereste in shooting females. Regarding how many animals you are allowed to shoot every hunting association has its own number asigned by the state's hunting authority. But there are enough deers and roebucks so it s not gonna be a problem. Regarding hunting prices well, that depends on how much heavy the trophy is (head an horns). The price may start from about 100 usd for a 300 grams (0.66 lbs trophy) and it can go up to 200 us for a trophy heavier than 500 gram (1.lbs). But there are a lot of packages offered by each hunting association that owns (administrates) the lands you are hunting on.

@@mihaimihai9254 Yes, it's written Sanyi, but correct, sorry at the time was still watching the video and did not reach the second part. You are right, all the guide there seemed and sounded Romanian. Of course an animal doesn't have ethnicity nor "nationality" in a strict sense so if the buck lives in between the Romanian borders, naturally it should be referred to as Romanian.

I've felt the need to mention how they named the animal just because you have mentioned the guide's nationality! Actually I allways admired the Hungarian hunting tradition which is far more evoluated than what we have in Romania.

@@berndsandmann9383 Hallo Bernd. There is a 6x62 Freres Caliber. Just listen once again starting to 1.20. Franz uses a .270 Winchestester for wild boar Hunting but that's not the proper caliber for such a hunt. The caliber he uses or 6,5 Creedmore are better for shooting such a small animal at such a big range.
