hi, I hope you’re doing well!
Wasn't quite sure this one would come together because I had a very intense and no-filming start to the week, but ended up drawing a sticker sheet over the Easter weekend so I kept quite a lot of that process in for you to see, super happy with how it turned out!
Wish you a lovely week,
Sara

Here in brazil the common is to find four rings binders, i never even thought two rings was an option except for those huge ones you would use for archiving. Can't wait to see the binder you got 😍😍 also the idea of using the washi and punching the holes again is genius Lovely video! Ive been watching a bit of it every day since it came out 🤭🤭 Glad to see the pages for A secret history, and you're reading If we were villains!!!! And everything you said about it i think it's fair, bc it dfntly doesnt hold up when comparing it to ASH, but i Honestly could talk about them for the rest of my life

Four rings?? That’s a new one for me ahah, it’s so fun to see what normal is like for stationery in various countries! I do have to say the big two ring archive binders are great, but I can definitely see how more rings would work better for a smaller book you flip through all the time. Also that’s so sweeettt, I’m glad you enjoyed it🤍🤍 and omg we need to talk about these books please

My personal opinion, but once you try a 6 ring binder you won't go back hahaha, 2 rings are awful the paper moves a lot and they rip so much more often.

Also, the stickers are so beautiful, hopefully, I can get them in a few weeks!! Don't take them down soon, please! hahaha

I can very well imagine that ahah, flipping the pages in a 2 ring binder always feels so unstable. I’ve gotten my paper and my cover has been shipped so I’m excited to try it out! Also no worries, I have no plans to take the new stickers out of the shop anytime soon so no rush there🥰

Hi, I’m new here and I’ve been enjoying back tracking your vids. I’m curious about what you’re studying in Uni bc your lectures and notes look like a stem majors cup of tea. I’m currently studying Neurobiology as a third year, but am personally also very interested in art, especially sketching and water color painting. I’m wondering if you’re in school studying art or if art is something you do on the side while studying, or really just how you balance mixed interests, if that makes sense at all?? So glad I found your channel! ❤ 😊

Well spotted, I’m in third year biotechnology! Hoping to study plant biotechnology for my masters from next year. I also went to a scientific lyceum before uni, so art has always been something I learnt on my own in parallel with school, except during my time abroad in my fourth year of high school where I took A level art and had the most incredible professor that allowed me to do a condensed program to take my diploma in just one year, and I’m so glad I was able to do that as I knew I didn’t want to continue my formal education within art. I think my choice of university was definitely a way to keep both doors open for myself and allow myself to continue doing both of these things that I love, and I try to maintain whatever balance I can within my weeks. I don’t paint a lot week-to-week, but a little every week builds up over time, and alongside my journaling they are incredibly important practices for me. There are definitely times when I end up having to dedicate more time to uni work, but I’ll usually try to then find a way to balance things out the week after and take some time off. Basically, I slot in my art time whenever I have some free at-home time during the day (unfortunately unlike some of my other hobbies - see journaling and editing - it’s the one thing I don’t like doing without natural light, so I’m a bit limited especially in the winter, but I make do ahah) Hope that made sense! And thank you for the support🤍it’s always lovely to find someone else who is both in stem and into art!

@@untitled_paintings Thanks for your reply, it makes perfect sense! I have many friends and colleagues going into the field of biotech and they love it so far. Personally, I’m glad there are people like you in the world who choose to study biotechnology as technology rarely agrees with me and so it sounds pretty complex, haha. And, same here, art has always been something I learnt on my own because growing up I couldn’t afford lessons, but I’ve read and watched many videos. Watching yours, as I get more into painting, has been extremely helpful. Thanks again for sharing! I’ve been struggling with my balancing my interests/passions lately, which to follow and stick to as I prepare to go to medical school because I know that my time will be extremely limited, especially since my interests keep growing and I’m getting into journaling as well. But, I think and hope that journaling will end up saving me time and figure out a schedule that will fit me as a whole person and not just a pre-med stem major. It is really nice to find someone else who is into art and stem, I think there are many overlapping features into each of them that made me appreciate the natural beauty in the world and want to learn more about it. 🤍

The binder issue. Could you just slice off the holes and then punch?
@untitled_paintings
@untitled_paintings 4 месяца назад
I don’t think I left enough space for that, I’d end up hole punching through the text😬 Also then they would be narrower than the other pages which might be weird(?), I’ll try out a couple of things and see what works best!

Which paper are you going to get for the binder?
@untitled_paintings
@untitled_paintings 4 месяца назад
I was looking for simple 6-rings grid paper and couldn’t find it super easily so I ended up getting a three pack from Amazon It says it’s from the brand CYH, haven’t really heard of it before, but it’s a nice cream tone with a light grey grid which is precisely what I like and it’s got a nice weight to it as well (100gsm) compared to the Muji paper, which feels really nice and I think will definitely help the pages not rip as much. Texture-wise it’s a bit gritty compared to the Muji paper which is super super smooth, it feels a little like sketchbook paper if that makes sense, but the ink dries really quickly and my pen writes well on it so no issues there! I would maybe have looked into a more specific type of paper if I were printing my pages but because I really just wanted the grid this is what I found. Hope that answers it!🥰

@@untitled_paintings Seems nice! I have to say you and Megan really inspired me to try using a rings book, it really seems so versatile and the fact that you can simply take pages out or even throw them away if you're not vibing w them anymore is just ??? magic. I can't wait to see how your ring binder story goes and would love to see the size comparison of the a5 binder and other books you have such as the A6 HON and traveler's notebooks if that's something you'd like to include in a video? I'm still not sure whether I want an a6 or a5 binder 😬 I'm rambling now, grazie for the cozy vids to keep me company Sara!! 🥰
