@@basecampwnc1745 In Northern India many Villages have no running water... I am CIVIL engineer and I think we can install RAM pump in our community. Every day females carry water in there house. I am researching micro hydro and off grid water supply.
I'm finally working on a new spring. This one is beautiful. The water is coming off of a very large rock. I'm recording the process. I'd love to send you the video when finished so you can share it with your subs. I'm using your techniques.
The bleach tube is used to shock/sanitize the spring. The most common method of doing so is by using the overflow pipe. WNC likes to use a pipe that is set further back into the spring because it is more efficient in sanitizing the entire spring. A pipe further back is closer to the source. I hope that makes sense.
@@MrSouthofBoston I've never heard of that. We've had springs my whole life and we were always told the ground is the only filtration needed, and it's some of the cleanest water you'll ever drink. But, everyone has their own ways and ideas. Not saying anyone is wrong, just an observation
Could you explain how to do this in a freezing climate . It gets to 0 degrees here a lot but I have plenty of springs on my property and want to do this
Best if you send some pictures of your spring My email is Carolinahomesteadplanner@gmail.com Tell where you are located and then we will get together on the phone Looking forward to hearing from you
