Yeah, we definitely lucked out with the spring on our property. It's crazy that the previous owners never mentioned anything about it. Sounds like your new property is coming along! Are you building yourself?
We actually already have a cabin on the property. It needs a little work but it is livable. The spring water is really neat and was a pleasant surprise!
Hey Uncle Joe! We bought this property in 2022. We kept our other camping property for about a year after we bought the new property. We didn't camp or use our old property, so we decided to sell it. We also sold another piece of property that we thought we would build on someday. Selling those properties helped us pay for this one. Now we just have this one property. It's big, 100 acres! Roughly 60 acres is grass and 40 acres is trees/mountainous. So, it was much more affordable than a heavily treed, flatter 100 acre lot.
Yeah, we used our Golden Nugget bucket in our pond. We have not found anything yet. This area used to mine for silver, not gold. Not sure how you find silver, I will have to look into that.
I have a question... I have a 300w solar panel and a 12v 50ah battery and for some reason it doesn't want to charge at more than a 100w. Is that normal?
Are your panels hooked up in series or parallel? Have you tested the output of each solar panel to make sure it's working properly? Can your charge controller bring in more than 100 w atts?
