The spring flowers are out! The Waratah Trail is a 10km return track in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is only about 1 hour north of Sydney City Centre and is one to visit during spring. The abundance of wildflowers in bloom makes this hike extra special at this time of year. In particular, the stunning Waratah flowers are out (check our custom Google map linked below to see where we found them along the track).
Great for a beginner hiker, this hiking trail is fairly flat with gradual elevation change and a wide track most of the way. There are a couple of lookouts over the park and are nice spots to take a rest, including at the end of the trail. Along the way there are also interesting rock formations caused by erosion. Enjoy the footage!

What another beautiful hike. Just wanted to ask; can you get to the Waratah trail via public transport?

Hello! Unfortunately, it would be difficult via public transport as this track is further into Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Google map directions will help show options, though! :)
