shockingly poor game by the boks. Worst defence I have ever seen from boks...everyone but Ox was f horrible....useless. Terrible effort....too many players in green and gold that do not deserve that shirt, very sub par average players...and it showed today. Poor effort, disorganized on defence....too fancy on offence...no intensity, no physicality...poor leadership man.
Rassie to blame for major wrong choices. Moerat wrong call to captain Boks, is looking useless as leader and poor on individual play, Pollard also missed a kick and crucial tackle for one of the earlier tries, Malcolm Marx useless as a starter, is ideal as a Bomb Squad finisher. Today we saw it in broad daylight. Bongi was desperately needed. Libbok missed final sitter. I think nails his own coffin. Siya Masuku needs a go at Nos 10 for the Boks. Jesse Kriel was flat.Eben and Kwagga failed to make impact. The shining stars Fassi and Ox stood out head above shoulders over every one.
I absolutely disagree with your assessment on Fassi. Everyone is excited about him but everytime he plays our defence ks absolutely dreadful. He doesn't have a clue how to manage the defence. Against NZ we conceded four tries at Ellis Park. Swop AP for Willie and our defence is impenetrable. So no, Fassi is dreadful.
@@JustinGeorge-fz5tz I think it will be remembered in the same way as Morne Steyns' winning kick but with Libbok he doesn't do winning goal kicks, he's not Steyn or Pollard when it matters most.
Ja just compare it to other recent games when the Boks won from exactly such a lineout in the last 10 minutes but Libbok failed to perform when it really counted. The last goal kick was a second chance for Libbok to redeem himself and they showd how Rassie was not happy in the box, shouting and walking away from the desk. Rassie didn't want Libbok to have that pressure on him as we all know how Libbok struggles in such occasions, I don't think that was part of the plan and the captain is under the spotlight here too. We shake our head at the Boks and congratulate the Pumas, that's all.
Couldn't put your finger on the issue, as it was multifaceted. Think one of our first three tries was due to us playing well. The other two looked more like a confused Argentina. Kriel and Am played well individually, less so together. Mapimpi looked his age, but also was given no real ball. Van Staden was great at the breakdown for turn over threat, but seemed lackluster otherwise. I'm not sure if it was him, or a result of him trying to cover for someone else. Wiese looked tired earlier than when he was replaced. BJD was not nearly equal to PSDT in this game. Fassi was alright. Some great moments, but he was getting angry with some Argentina players riling him up. He was also often the only chaser. Pollard struggled making some tackles. Moerat... Well he played kinda how we expect. Jordan Hendrickse may have just made a case to replace Libbock in the squad. The line out was odd. No idea who was to blame. Overall the team didn't play like a team. Very clunky, flat footed, disjointed and lacked direction. It was just a very off game all around. Well done to Argentina, they caused a lot of the above issues.
Sorry guys, I blame Rassie for this situation. He believes in players that can only operates on Provincial level. The Boks defence sucks. Heartbroken!! How many times must Manie cost us a test before the lights will go on for Rassie?
Missed tackles galore, shaky lineout, unforced errors in the double digits and ppl want to highlight Libbok like the Boks deserved to win this ? after such a shitty overall performance no ..Ox and Ruan were epic tho 🎉 to Los Pumas tho
I don't want to say that the team got a reality check, but who ever decides on the game plan sure did. My only question to the coaching staff would be, why if you take it to penalties, and not play our usual game plan, do you put Manie up for kicking? Have we not established that we have a BMT issue with kicks to goal? Or have we only realised it now, again? I give it to the Los Pumas, they played great. Some flaws, again with an English ref, but lets not say that, he cost us the game, because TBH, we were out played. Our defence sucked!
Listen Jordan...you are too nice... Rassie must own this .. bring the new zealand reporters and put him and Tony under the hammer..they are practically ending very good palyers like Ribboks careers... he had no real springbok game time but is expected to perform miracles for a whole su par team effort
Jordan. You are wrong with your assessment on Fassi. He looks good individually, but somehow when he starts we are broken down at will. He cannot manage our defence. Against the ABs at Ellis Park we conceded many tries. Then Willie comes in at Cape Town and we do not concede a single try. Fassi was main variable there. Fassi has to go down to Bok A and learn how to manage the defence before he gets another crack for the Springboks.
How can you say we didn't lose it on Mannie's kick? How many times have we had terrible performances and still won? Tony Brown's game is really not complete and its definitely not an 85 minute game. Its good to be humbled so we can fix problems but there is really no way around the Mannie conversation.
boks also lost world ranking. down to #2 now. Not looking as bright as it was now. Really shows how huge it was that the abs held the #1 ranking for a decade.
Where are all the people who say libbok should be there...fassi played shit 2nd half(beside the ankle tap)and am does nothing...well done libbok once again....oh and who was on the filed last 10min...moerat...wiese and du toit played below par today and bj just did good offloads and eskom 3 good steals
I agree with your assessment of Fassi. His individual defence is good. But cannot manage the defence to save his life. Everytime he starts we concede four tries. Then Willie comes back and our defence is impenetrable.
Then they will tell you nohamba shouldn't be in the bok team yet he's a better 10 then libbok, a better 9 then libbok and kicks waaay better than libbok too
True we can’t just blame Manie but you can’t take away from the fact that he did it again. Didn’t take his chance to make the difference. Missed a touch kick to put us on their 5 meter line and that was the last chance we had until he missed the clutch kick. Can’t rely on him so he shouldn’t be playing in a team like that. Say what you like the forwards put him in a position to close it out and he pawned it.
What went wrong? Aphelele Fassi is what went wrong! Every time he starts our defence is broken down at will. Then Willie comes back the next game and our defence is impenetrable.
Agree 💯. Fassi defence is costing us. Game are close because he defence read is poor. Mamie kicking problems cannot be fix without a technical kicking coach a provisional level. The big concern is no want performed well and there was no caption on the field.
This "bok depth" story is a myth its false the difference between our best players and the rest is soo big without PTSD, Kolisi, kolbe, etzebeth the boks are nothing
Jordan, love your passion and coverage, but do not become a fan boy and impact your credibility with your comments about Manie. The Bomb Squad does win games for us by creating opportunities to close the game out and they did again today... they create turnovers and mainly scrum penalties that we then turn into points and prevent our opponents from scoring and get the wins in that way! Today the Bomb Squad won the penalties, but this time we could not convert it into points like we usually do... and why? Manie messed up the kick to the corner for a potential maul try and then missesd the penalty from right in front for the win... that is how we won the RWC semi and final and beat the AB's twice... the difference is we had Sacha and Pollard to kick over the penalties and get the kicks out in the corner for our maul tries... Manie's job was to do that and again, he couldn't... just is not good enough and cannot be relied upon to close out games for us... those were the moments Jordan... cheers.
I think that Salmaan shouldn't even make the squad, let alone be captain. But not because he is a Muslim. Let us not judge a man based on his religion. We South Africans are not like that.
