I remember trying so hard to find this game a few years ago cause i remembered playing part of it as a child (got stuck pretty early on and never finished). It suddenly came to me and i love the idea of a dark mystery game (like a murder mystery) taking place in a star stable-esque game. As soon as i saw the cover in the thumbnail it was like unlocking a core memory. I would love it if they updated Stallets Hemlighet with a modern game engine and new models so it can be played again. I would love to actually finish the story.
@@josefienvanrossem8360 I guess we'll have to settle for old youtube clips lol. Love your name btw, feels very fancy and powerful. Like a mysterious young widow who's filthy rich old husband went missing under suspicious circumstances and left a lot of money behind. But like, in a good way.
I owned the UK version, Ellen Whitaker, it scared me as a kid, and I never completed it due to a game-breaking bug during a competition. I always wondered what the ending was! The CD is probably still in the house somewhere!
The springdale games are amazing! I have all 5 of them (for pc), but the horse mystery game is not related to the four springdale games, which the map can already tell you. The stories of the games is completely different, Amanda is Amanda, a girl who moved from the city to the country side and got a horse as a bandaid (who wouldn't love thatxD) while the other 4 springdale games, you play as your own character, get to know the club etc
Also, slightly offtopic, but I remember that one of the Star Stable seasons Riders games has a bug where some of the trophies don't register. The studio made a downloadable patch of that bug and released it on their website. Unfortunately, that patch is now 100% lost media. Meaning that anyone who had a bugged version of the game and didn't download said patch in time, is now doomed forever to have a version of the game that is literally impossible to complete (because you need the trophies to register in order to complete it).
There's another gameseries that Stabenfeldt and Pennygirl released, it was a story of a girl named Penny who moved to her grandparents farm and got into horses and riding, i absolutely loved those games when i was little but for some reason i'm not able to play them anymore😕 idk if the company did something to stop them from working but yeah i'd love to play them again
Stabenfeldt gave out a lot of games through their book clubs, but most of them are standalone games. I remember the stable girl games, for example (especially the stable girl 2!) and there were other horse games too. But Springdale kinda stands out to me because it's the same developers as the jorvik games, and with the addition of the horse mystery, it has a mystical plot that could be expanded upon 🙊
I have the Horse Mystery game! OMG the music! I genuinely struggled to go near the manor back then. I would love to hear anything you have about this game. Could never get past the first competition thought... either i cut the corner and knock the pole or go around and not make time. So frustrating.😥 I wonder if my current PC can run it...
@@SuperJJx i am currently looking on various websites to find the games, and i have been before.as far as i remember: no, springdale was not on oldgamesdownload. there is a playlist by tms channel playing through the springdale game(s??) though. not sure which game it was but yeah. edit: ps2 springdale longplay: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TTswNPheO68.html
hey! i’ve been binge watching your theory videos and it just hit me how much actual lore there is in sso. i’ve been playing on and off since 2014 and can’t help but realise how much of it i actually missed on. and i’m sure the same goes for a lot of people, since the story has been changed a lot aswell. i would love to see a full main story time line video from you, because you seem to know it very well. i understand that this would be a long and difficult video to make but maybe you’ll consider :) there could also be a series of videos about other side stories and sub plots that we as a player take part in the game. love your videos, such a shame that you quit theorising. keep up the great content tho! :)
i know this is about sso, but i keep thinking about sonja! i always feel she has a connection with jorvik we don’t know about, and little is shared about her. i would love it you made a theory on it
I remember when they were selling these games here in Finland! Never bought them though, because I wasn't _that_ interested, but now I actually want to play them 😅😅 If I see them second-hand somewhere, maybe I will buy them.
I remember seeing some advertising for the series in the Swedish magazine Min Häst maybe 12 years ago when I was little, but we couldn't find it in any stores 😕
Can you make a video on the Pippa Funnell Games and Imagine Champion rider. Those games are not from the sso or springdale companies but also hold a lot of story potential plus I grew up with those games so I would really appreciate it.
That's the sad reality of those old CD games. If they weren't popular or didn't gather a fandom, then they eventually slip into being lost media, due to no one bothering to sell copies. It gets to the point where pirating a game literally becomes the only way of playing it.
if you want to you can download pcsx2 (ps2 emulator) and try to get an iso of the springdale game on ps2 so you can manage to get a video out of the games:)
