Is it just me or am I the only one here who actually did not like Finlands song? Compared to 2022 winner Ukraine both 1st and 2nd place songs and visuals from 2023 where pretty bland or boring. In Finlands case the song and the visual was just wierd but not in fun way. Just in a creepy way.

I've been playing SSO nearly enough since it started. For the last four years, I haven't caught up with the storyline at all as I'm so unmotivated. I do enjoy seeing the progress made with graphics and the horse animations etc, I actually love the location updates, though Wild Woods is something to be desired. I miss the cosiness of the original plot, characters and general feel of the game. I hardly play it now as it feels so juvenile at times. The older content was much more gripping and I HATE the grinding aspect, though by watching this it seems it got better. The archaeology quest sent me to hell and back with the sheer amount of grinding, which was one of the reasons I stopped playing so frequently. There was a period of time a few years back, that could still be the case now, where the SSO team and company did not listen to the needs and requests of the players. Frankly, it still seems that way a smidge, things are better, but I thoroughly dislike the price of star coins. That is a whole other discussion in itself
i still don’t understand the hate she gets. it was never her fault and it’s clear that people still can’t move on. i don’t know why they be hating on literally an innocent person instead of hating the jury. also nobody seems to care that she’s the first WOMAN to win twice which is ridiculous
How did you managed to run the game in bigger resolution? I thought it can be only played in 1280x720 max but it looks really good on your playthrough! thank you
sso should’ve used sliders for the characters. would it have taken longer and been more complex? yeah. but this is one of, if not THE, biggest horse game out there, so you’re gonna need to take time and effort on updates as important as the character you play as for (in some people’s cases) over 10 years. Sims 4 is a good example, as you can adjust the proportions, weight, muscle mass, how much you slouch, shoulder/hip breadth etc. you’d see so much diversity in the players around you and wouldn’t have such a lack of use in most the body types. we could keep the preset heads, as they have more options that i see being used, but the body types are so lazily made.
Yes, I don’t like Jury boost systems, it makes the contest look like something else than Eurovision. It’s fine if the public gives points to their top 12 instead of top 10 countries, but no actual televote boosts from the juries in my book. I want at least real points!
And also, no point limits for the juries. They need to vote for their favorite as well. But I agree on the idea of increasing the jury members to at least 10.
Ah yes, people wanted a demonic Irish woman who hates Israel and Jews, to win because they didn’t want an Israeli to win for political reasons even though the event is supposed to be apolitical.

I wouldn't be too pleased if I were you. I wasn't the biggest fan of his song either, but the EBU abusing their power in such a way is messed up no matter who it happens to. This time it was Joost, but next time it could be your #1 favorite.
Im just so mad at the hypocrisy. Russia was threatened and fought back, they’re the bad guys. IsNotRael bombed their neighbour and they get to participate? If this is really non-political then bring Russia back. They can keep IsNotRael. Plus, IsNotRael’s inability to participate should’nt be made political, they’re literally not in europe. Why didn’t the EBU choose that as an excuse? Another problem is sponsership. Moroccanoil being the sponser of ESC2024 was a grave error. I didint have popcorn, but this video was still intresting, fun and useful. Your solutions sound efficient and i paid more attention to everything you said than at esc 2024. I hope my fav thing is filled with more justice towards real art in the future.
I mostly enjoyed this video, but I do want to point something out. You said that Eurovision was created in response to WWII, and that's actually not true. It was created by the EBU as an experiment in live broadcasting. The song contest was used as a way to produce cheap content to different broadcast affiliates. It really had nothing to do with "uniting Europe," and initially, there were no plans to have a second contest the following year. It's just content. It's always ever been content. "United By Music" is just clever rebranding. I love the ESC; it's introduced me to different cultures and languages and musicians, but I think it's silly to mythologize this contest and what it's "supposed" to represent. It represents the interests of the EBU. It always has.
Man I wish Russia will be appearing in the future too,(3-5 years), which is very unlikely sadly… Also I agree with the points system you suggested. Sounds more fair.
Russia shouldn’t have been banned in the first place, it set a precedent which made Israel joining a political statement. Personally, I think both Russia and Israel should be allowed to compete.
Ik it’s kinda late, but on the Israel note, Portugal was harassed by Israelite people due to the performance representing Palestine. Kinda sad nobody talks about it.
