What is the type of awl where the needle has a hook cut out of the side (just below the tip of needle so I can puncture from underneath and pull the thread through from the top of material? (Not a needle with a hole-more a grabber)

I love my stitching awl. You can put different sizes of industrial machine needles in the awl, different threads, and use it to stitch just about anything. The great part for me learning with this tool is learning how the stitch works. This gave me a better understanding of sewing on a machine. This is a great video thank you.
