I appreciate the time you spent doing this helpful, but somewhat distracting video. I wanted to see the display, as you were verbally describing what you were doing. Generally the camera's view had moved to the bottom of the timer,,,were there was nothing to see! Unfortunately (for me)watching it was difficult with all of the movement
This timer has worked great for about 4 months but now will not shut off the zones after running for the programmed amount of time. I have replaced the batteries and also took the case apart but there is no way to open the mechanism to clean it. The system looks very clean though.
You may want to check your valves. They may be sticking and not shutting off. If you disconnect the wire right at the valve it should turn off. If it's not, that means the valve itself is sticking. Good luck, Jeff
I have one of these old beasts and would like to test if the sprinklers still work. But cursed beast just won’t go into manual mode. Any ideas what a newbie could be missing?
Thanks for posting this. I need help understanding the the Start times function - looks like an option on your timer for "A" program. If and when you set with various start times - what does that do exactly? If you program it with various start times or more than one start time for Program A - does that mean it waters more than once the day(s) you programmed it to water?
No I think for the a program you put in one start time and a time duration. So the sprinklers will come on at that start time and we'll run for the time duration entered. All of the sprinkler valves that are programmed with the start time will come on in a sequential order at that starting time. So for example, if you set 6:00 a.m. sprinkler valve one may turn on followed by sprinkler to and then three and so on each for the time duration entered. So if you have six sprinkler valves each with 10 minutes a piece, if it starts at 6:00 a.m. it will finish around 7:00 a.m.
@@jeffrocks53 Ahh. Got it...I think. Still not sure why the timer has the option to set more than one start time for a program. I can't imagine a scenario where having up to four separate start times would ever be needed by anyone? I've had the 9-station version of this timer for a decade or more and I'm just getting around to trying to use the A & B program option for lawn vs. drip system for pots/gardens. I kept saying to myself over the years - "man it'd be nice to have two separate programs!" 🤫🤪 Anyway, thanks for helping a knucklehead out!
Hey, Thank you for your time. I have some part working for the drip. #1 is working great , but when I go #2 makes some noise, but no water ?? Can you help me. Why?
Is the water connected and turned on to the sprinkler manifold??? Are the sprinkler valves wired correctly back to the sprinkler timer underneath? Are the round solenoids on all the sprinkler valves working??? Have to looked at the diaphragm on one of the valves and see if it is working when you turn that station on??? Are you telling that particular station to turn on???
@@adlux13 My timer is the bigger 9-station version of this and it also has a battery (two regular AA batteries) backup in case of power failure it keeps the program and I think it keeps functioning even without power. I'm assuming this 4-station one is the same.
