Gameplay from Sprint Vector, a VR racing game where you use the VR motion controls to pull, climb, jump, and fly through race courses.
Sprint Vector is a $29.99 VR racing game that supports the HTC Vive, the Oculus Rift, and the PSVR. Sprint Vector utilizes various VR locomotion techniques for movement. The main way to move in Sprint Vector is by pulling yourself forwards with the VR motion controllers, similar to zero gravity locomotion, but you can grab thin air. You also move around by jumping and double-jumping, climbing, throwing yourself, and flying. Sprint Vector features numerous race courses and a cast of different characters to race against in single player or online multiplayer matches.
Official game description of Sprint Vector on Steam:
"The most popular game show in the universe is always scouting for stars...and its newest and brightest is YOU!
Hosted by everyone’s favorite robo-personality, Mr. Entertainment, Sprint Vector sends its intrepid contestants running, jumping, climbing, flinging, drifting, and even flying across crazy interdimensional race courses and challenge maps where your speed and finesse are put to the test. These intense head-to-head matches have become the must-see event of the millennium!
Sprint Vector is the ultimate competitive VR game: a multiplayer adrenaline platformer that merges the physical thrill of extreme sports competition with the unhinged energy of a zany game show spectacle. Survios’ innovative Fluid Locomotion System lets you comfortably attain and maintain extreme speeds in VR. Use your entire body to run, jump, drift, zip, climb, fling, shoot, dodge, and fly with intuitive motion controls! Add in a pulsing electronic soundtrack, hilarious running commentary, powerful projectiles and boosts, as well as multiplayer support for up to eight players, and you’ve got a hit show no matter what planet you’re on!
Step into the vector blades of an intergalactic star, rev up, and explode onto Sprint Vector’s colorful landscapes on a variety of races courses and challenge maps. Scale towering pyramids and plunge into alien ruins, leap across giant pits while dodging debilitating blobs of sludge, or survive the trap-riddled roads of an ancient city-but watch out for your fellow sprinters! It’s just one slow mine, nitro, or impulse jump between glory and defeat.
Cool features:
-Competitive multiplayer matches: Public and private online multiplayer modes pit up to eight players against each other in intense, high-speed races as you vie for a spot on the Global Leaderboards.
-12 killer race tracks: 12 complex race courses full of obstacles, shortcuts, and game-changing power-ups make for endless replay value.
-Nine challenge courses: Take on these diabolical courses designed to test your sprinting prowess to the extreme. Tackle three specific challenges across nine single-player challenge courses with Local and Global Leaderboards.
-Customizable solo play: Run through courses and learn the ropes at your own pace with customizable solo game settings.
Weapons and Power-Ups: What’s a little friendly competition without a bit of self-serving sabotage? Take aim at both the course and your competitors with glove blasts and game-changing power-ups.
-Eight intergalactic competitors: Choose from eight colorful characters “recruited” from every corner of the galaxy, from notorious Daxx to ethereal Luna to streetwise Hendrix, each with multiple skins."

How's the wireless VR going? Still working fine? Any other issues beside the power supply melting?
@Bumble49
@Bumble49 6 лет назад
It's working great, I haven't had any issues with it after the initial roadbumps. When I'm using wireless VR I don't even think about it, just feels very natural. I have noticed that I push the boundaries of my roomscale area more often now because I'm not as cautious about the wire anymore

I'm fine, just too busy for videos. Playing a lot of non-VR games while I wait for Pimax

Do you think Pimax is the way forward? What are your thoughts on Star VR, that looks to be a good option? I'm coming up on 4 years playing ED in VR.
@Bumble49
@Bumble49 6 лет назад
I'm not sure, I haven't tried it yet or kept up with the news on it, but if the FOV and higher res works well for E:D then it should make a big difference. Star VR looks cool also, have they announced a consumer version? Last time I checked they were only doing HMDs for arcades and companies like that

The last video I watched was MRTV MIXED REALITY TV doing a first try at a show, the STAR TV chap was vague about a release date and whether the public would get their hands on one but in the end he did sort of admit that they were coming soon and publicly, I think before the end of the year. MRTV said they had a 210 FOV which meant he got full left to right vision, he could see everything vertically as well, just a bit of black downwards. Thing is the headset looks much nicer than the super width of the PiMax. This is an industry which is changing daily though so waiting isn't always the best policy as there will always be something better 'coming out later', I have had 3 plus years of fun with my DK2 and have just recently bought a Rift which is much better and I am now getting a lot of enjoyment from that whilst the boffins play with improvements on the next generation which I may purchase. Miss your videos and all the best Bumble. I have sent friend requests in ED, if you still play?
