Welcome to our van conversion series. In this episode we show how we built the floor, including the insulation. When we designed the van, we pretty much had the exact location fixed where our interior would be placed. So the placement of the battens on the floor was designed to enable us to mount our interior to. Since we plan to also visit destinations in colder climates with our campervan, we decided we need a fitting floor insulation. We use 3 mm thick thermal insulation board, that we cover with plywood.
