@@charleyssss Sprintex, Edelbrock, Innovate, and Harrop. These are twin screw type superchargers which makes the famous super charger wine sound. The turbo looking ones are centrifugal and makes a lesser wine sound that most don't hear because of the overpowering sound of the pressure release / blow off valve
IDK why everyone keeps saying the 335 will blow motors and you need a built block. Just because its bigger does not mean you have to run the blower at max output. Its a twin screw supercharger. Just swap the pulley and you can make as much (or little) boost as you like. The benefit of the bigger blower is that it is more efficient. 9psi on the 335 will make a little more power than the same 9psi using the 210 just because the 335 doesnt have to work as hard and create as much heat. You could slap a giant whipple blower from a V8 on here if you wanted. Just have to have the right size pulley.
Turbos are cool, and most people seem to want to use the centrifugal superchargers on these cars, but I feel like the twin-screw is the best candidate for this car. The big issue is torque, as in the stock car it doesn't come in until like 1,000 before redline. Lame! Turbos and centrifugal setups still rely on building RPM to make maximum power. No replacement for [positive] displacement! How is the dyno graph on this setup? I can only imagine the torque curve improved significantly
Well also a big problem is the strength of the transmission. I heard stock can’t really handle over 300 safety. I almost went centrifugal cause I wanted more power. But I also autocross. I want instant power in 2gear low rpms. The car is dead in low rpm even with bolt ons and e-85
I was doing some research for this supercharger, the website mentioned keeping the oem airbox for the install, do you have to make adjustments to change the intake? And what ecu did you use for the tune?
what do you mean adjustments to the change the intake? it fits right on. And you use the same ECU, you just tune it with your tuner. if your going for the 355, you should built a block. with the 210 kit, you can run stock boost 9psi, but if you want to go even more, you'll have to upgrade injectors and your fuel pump and consider maybe upgrading your block
I think it's just burnt oil or maybe just random smoke of something burning off. It looks like it was their first pull so maybe it's cold and just letting off steam.
@@rkitekt16 That smoke is human natural oils that come off the hands when touching the hot parts of the engine bay. Very normal after doing car maintenance
As long as the necessary safety measures is added these motors can take a lot of power. E.g. Upgrade the radiator. Add add an oil cooler. And upgrade head gasket and studs. Should be ok.
